I feel like Aaron Gordon was linked to the Suns for at least like 3 years during the trade deadlines. But yeah agreed, he’s a tweener forward with bad basketball IQ.

The tweener argument is pretty invalid today. It's pretty cliched at this point. Aaron Gordon is what he is - a guy with some good defensive versatility but a disaster when asked to do more on offense (especially when defenses are going all out every possession in the playoffs) other than be a finisher.

You'd love him on the Suns with a point guard like Chris Paul and Booker being the guy who creates his own shot, where Gordon would be able to finish athletically off those guys. He'd be a long athletic complement to Bridges and Ayton defensively, and he'd be able to get minutes backing up Crowder and Ayton (as a small ball 5).

Eh I just don’t see it. If you’re a tweener you have to be a very good shooter (Gordon is career 32% 3pt shooter) or a Draymond Green type all time great defender to be successful in the league. Otherwise you’re just a better version of a Torrey Craig or a Derrick Jones Jr type player.

Denver giving Gordon that 4 yr $92 million extension last fall is also just incredibly dumb considering his durability and fit alongside Jokic.

Nuggets used to have a top notch FO in terms of drafting guys but they have given out some horrific contracts to guys like MPJ and Gordon.

he jacked up so many terrible shots last night. I mean, nobody was making shots in the fourth quarter for the nuggets but the lack of ball movement didn't help

To be fair, I think the problem is they are missing #2 and #3. It's forced him into a role he doesn't belong in.
Had he come here, I believe he would have fit in better

Brutal for Milwaukee. East has a shot to knock them out.

I would have been a little surprised if they beat the Celtics anyway, but without Middleton I'll be shocked unless the Celtics have injuries themselves.

Well then I dont know what to say other than he is who he is - an athletic, versatile defender who can guard multiple positions and not get exploited on the switch. Not an amazing defender or anything but certainly passable and at worst average, and on offense a solid finisher with bad shooting.

Contract extension is terrible but if he was paid his actual value there's nothing wrong with him as a rotation guy. Again the tweener thing is pretty irrelevant. A better version of Torrey Craig is a rotation player on basically every team in the league.

Luka, tonight or in a game 7, is gonna bury Utah.

He's a special talent and I look forward to the potential matchup against Ayton!

lmao. I was gonna say, I was hoping Milwaukee would be able to beat Boston because they have so many racist and arrogant fans. Even though they beat us last year I have a lot of respect for the current Bucks and it would've been nice to Giannis destroy their 6'8" big men inside all series.

I've always hated the Celtics, in large part because of their fans, but the team is actually pretty likable. The Bucks are likable too though.

Honestly I think we'd have an easier time with the Bucks though.

How can you make a pass to Rudy Gobert low enough for Luka to jump and catch it? I feel Utah won't be helping us tonight.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

God if Luka ever makes a finals, every sports caster is going to lose it.

I feel like Utah and Dallas don't play real defense.

I think our bench players will have a great opportunity to gain their confidence back against any of these two teams before facing Warriors in WCF.

We're all Jazz fans right now. Could really use the extra days for Booker

Waiting for this series since DA and Luka's rookie years. Not impressed by the Mavs in this last game vs Jazz, who had the opportunity to win, but were terrible in the clutch. Should be an easy series as long as we stay healthy.

What happened to the Jazz? The Mavs did so much to lose/give the game away and the Jazz said no thanks.
