Thanks for the info traxx, that info is both scarry and exciting. Scarry because of the unknown and making sweeping changes that change our identity for the worse. Exciting because (lol), of the unknown and making sweeping changes that change our identity for the better.

Love how Kief has played, but all of these techs, bs attitude, yelling and one after every shot.... Marcus screaming at Jeff... Kief shunning the media... WEARING VERY THIN. Maybe they want to go home to Philly. Dont want to get rid of Dragic but would love to see a more traditional line up with an actual pg running the point and an actual 3 d shooting guard at the two. Love how Thomas has competed but would not be sorry to see him go in a good deal. Green has been out of his mind the last couple games, dribble down and hoist mode... Only one I would be sorry to see go is Dragic. Wonder what we could get with those guys, Dont think Bullock is a diffrence maker in that Clipper rumor. Excited to see how this plays out and sorry that the fact that if this is true then the players probably know about it, and will probably play like crap for the next god knows how many games.

I agree, I suspected that the reason Kieff didn't talk to reporters is that he had heard his name in the trade rumors, and he is not liking it. I think he committed to PHX Last summer thinking he and Marcus will be together for a while. Now one of them or both may be traded, potentially separating them or at least moving them off the Suns in a trade. This is just a guess, but the thought crossed my mind when it happened, now today we hear about it. Doesnt seem coincidental.

I have to think PHX is testing the market on these guys rather than shopping them. The Reggie Bullock interest correlates the possibility of moving Green, Marcus or Tucker. Wouldn't make sense otherwise. I have to think Green is the most logical candidate, though he will be missed. I would prefer to keep him and play him in his spots like we did last year. He was more efficient and better integrated into the offense. He had great chemistry with Dragic.

He has played pretty well for a while now even though I still think he is inconsistent.

Markieff is the Suns best and most consistent player this season and he gets better as the season goes on (14.6 ppg in Nov, 15.6 in Dec, 17.4 in Jan).

Your problem is that you focus on his weaknesses rather than things he does well. Sure, sometimes he gets outmatched by bigger and stronger bigs but overall his defense is pretty good. Markieff is very good at forcing turnovers, taking charges (5th in the league), he makes good rotations and is rarely out of position on D. And the stats support that - 6th among PF in the Defensive RPM.

The more I think about it the simplest deal is green to some team for a minor asset. Then that minor asset to Boston, rivers to clips and bullock to suns. Then Archie Warren and bullock fight for greens rotation spot.

For those of you who haven't been on the board for years, or if you just need a little refresher on Traxxe's "window", here's a little info from the past. In short, he's never claimed to be an insider.

6/26/09-
Hey, I'm not an insider. I hear what some journalists hear is all. I might have a bag of lies from Front Offices, sometimes I get news a little early and sometimes I get good bits of useful info. I've said all I've heard on this. I don't have a big secret or anything.
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=918873&p=19965003#p19965003

6/26/09-
I've never claimed to be an insider mind you. I just have connections in the journalism field...

... if Tastic wants to pm me his email I'll email him the small connections I have.

7/02/09-
I qualify my statements that I'm not a great insider. I just am in a position hear things. But I can stop. It's no big deal to me. I'm wrong sometimes too. Lot of BS info gets tossed about to people with connections, etc.

Anyway, I just post what i hear. Don't take it as fact.

Well Traxxe, it sounds like whatever you are providing then is approximately at the level of news sources - like you hear it approximately when it is going to be released. Since that's the case I don't have a problem with it as long as you distinguish between your speculation and what you hear.

I am not an insider. I hear things that spill out of the organization from time to time a bit ahead of other peeps. I'm just saying what I hear. Take it for what it is worth.

2/17/10-
...I wil post as a fan as I mentioned earlier but didn't follow through with. As for my contacts, I've always said they were open to failure. Since I'm done here with inside info I'll open up and say generically that my brother is an ESPN sports writer and another person in my 'family' is engaged to a Suns reporter.
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=988047&p=22377818#p22377818

So, he's had a connection to Suns info by way of his brother being an ESPN writer (Dallas based, I believe) and via someone in his "family" marrying a Suns reporter...no info has come from a source inside the FO.

With NT's latest post, his info coming from inside the press have grown even less substantial (or legit?) by his own admission.

Breaking down a little what Traxx said, what would we be asking each team for in trades (Chicago, Houston, Orlando). Rockets is pretty easy, they have a hardon for Dragic, and obvously we would want Monte from them. Bulls... not sure... maybe they want Thomas and others, but who for us? Taj or Noah...we want to keep Len and Wright though. And as far as Orlando, I have no idea what the hell we would ask for, there is no way on gods green earth you guys can think we can get Dipo.

 i do think Markieff hasn't reached his ceiling, his biggest issues are issues that i think are fixable

I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

The Suns are active trying to trade at the moment. I know some of the teams they have reached out to. I know that there are only a few untouchables on the roster I listed earlier.

I doubt they trade the twins unless we get something great back. I doubt we trade Dragic unless we get value. But I just don't know. I don't know if the stuff I started hearing this morning is or isn't tied to what is coming out in the press now.

I just know I was told today (this morning) the Suns are trying to make moves. My information is always second hand too so I don't know to what degree it is massaged in the process.

Think of my information as a compass that can provide general direction. Not specifics. I haven't gotten specifics in a couple of ears. The org doesn't give out info like they used to do. That's a good thing.

The Suns don't see themselves making the playoffs this year and they are trying to change that.

I am stating what I have heard.

What position (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) am I talking about when I say "____ is very good at forcing turnovers, taking charges , he makes good rotations and is rarely out of position on D."

Not the position you are thinking of.
Spoiler:
Power Forward (Markeiff)

The position in question needs to say. "_____is very good at rebounding, positioning for rebounds, boxing out, and posting up."

Saying that this individual is playing great is for low standards. Sure the numbers this player is putting up are great for a role player but not what you want from your starter and a player who gets a ton of minutes. Some fans have forgotten what it is like to actually have a game changer at this position. So yes if the right deal comes along, HELL YES you trade this guy!!

I like hearing they aren't content to roll with this roster. Shows a good self-awareness to where they stand.

I look at it this way. Whether your information is true or not, it still gives us something to talk and think about here. So there is no need to try and defend yourself. It's some type of info and we love info.

So you're basically saying the Suns are on the verge of acquiring Durant? :)

^^^ well put deuce. Appreciate the info Traxxe

According to coro it looks like it would be Randolph heading out in the bullock deal. So I guess it would just be asset collecting and depth in case the deal some wings in other trades.

If we get Bullock for Randolph, McDonough is god. That's how you collect assets.

I really see us making a move for Carmelo. I am not a fan of his but he is a star and sells tickets whether you like him or not. He also could be the closer that this team lacks. We are not selling tickets and we lose just about every close game we are in. If I am Sarver and McDonough I have to consider it especially with our superior training staff at his beck and call. This is a trade I might have to swallow hard on but I think I could live with.

To the Knicks
Morris Twins 6.2
Thomas 7.2
Green 3.5
Plumlee 1.1
Randolph 1.2

Total 19.2

To the Suns

Carmelo 22.5
Aldrich .9
Total 23.4

I believe this would work under the current CBA. I think you have to be within 25% + $100,000 to make a deal work.

We end up with (Assuming we are able to get Bullock)

C - Alex Len, Cole Aldrich
PF - Carmelo Anthony, Brandon Wright
SF - Tucker, Bullock, Warren
SG - Dragic, Goodwin
PG - Bledsoe, Ennis

This trade would net us a star while keeping Dragic. It also will free up playing time for Bullock,Goodwin, Ennis and Warren.

Probably has no shot in hell of happening but somehow I just think McDonough is gong to swing for the fences. If he doesn't, so be it. I like this team just the way it is.
