So Dragic gets beat once again by a Middleton buzzer beater. Funny.

Really sad to read about Durant needing more surgery today and being out 4-6 months. I thought the Thunder had as good a chance as any team to win the title this year after they acquired Kanter. Who knows what the future holds for them.

It's March and Golden St has reached 60 wins. What an incredible season in the Bay.

62–20 - first season with Nash at the helms - tying our best record ever and marking the biggest single season improvement in NBA history... and somehow Steve Nash winning the regular season MVP was controversial.

It would have if we would have won the last two games. Down only one going into today's game against them would have been great. Oh well still alive, but barely a heart beat.

Re: Around The NBA: 2014/2015
It will be interesting to see where people rate Kerr as a coach if he wins a championship and has like 67 wins in his first season.
Everyone always talks about the best coaches other than Auerbach being Jackson, Pop and Riley, but of course every one of those three had a superstar (like top 10 player at least) and usually at least one other star with them. Yet not ONE of those coaches won a championship in their VERY first year, even WITH the superstar, much less win 65+ games. Jackson's Bulls had 67 once, 69 and 72, but that was with the best player of all time after years of chemistry with the players and coach. Riley's Lakers had over 60 quite a bit, but never more than 65 I believe. I think they got 65 once.
So it will be pretty historic for a first year coach to win 65+ games, and a championship, without a superstar. Now, some may consider Curry a superstar, but even if they do, they wouldn't have considered him one before Kerr became coach, as was the case with Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Duncan, Robinson, Shaq, LeBron.
The Warriors may have a little trouble with the Spurs or Cavs, because of the championship experience of the Spurs and LeBron, but I think they will cruise through anyone else, and likely beat the Spurs or Cavs unless those guys play lights out like the Spurs did last year in the finals.
So Kerr could really have a legendary year as a coach, as I don't know that anyone has won a championship in their first year ever as a head coach (there is probably someone, but if so, it probably only happened very long ago, and probably only once). But to do it without a superstar, and with only one real star type player, would be pretty remarkable.

How this is even possible? Oh my, Gobert.
I regret immensely to compare him with Javale ****' McGee.

Re: Around The NBA: 2014/2015
Wow, the Lakers beat the Sixers in OT, and are now 1 1/2 games ahead of Orlando, who are clearly not playing well (lost 9 of 10). If the Lakers somehow drop to 5th, their greatest odds are to end up with pick #6. That would be a little brutal if that happens and we see Hezonja or Porzingis or Winslow go there. The Lakers beating the Sixers clearly helped the Sixers when it comes to the draft in maybe more ways than one.

I still feel that some strange ping pong ball bouncing will leave the Lakers with a top three pick.
