Then of course we gave up the 27 and 29 unprotected, and an unprotected 28 swap. The impact of that trade is far from over.

I hope we can recoup at least a decent percentage of that value. What a waste and a boring team to watch.

The meltdown is going to be severe around here when those picks and swaps land in the top ten. Imagine the worst… lottery this year, and by fluke the top pick…?
Oh brother.

This assshat Wishbia has destroyed this team. F-er should be booed at the arena whenever the part-time Arizonan shows up. You are so right… the impact is far from over.

When was his last interview btw?

It still surprises me how much support he seems to get, still, just because "at least he is trying". :noway:

I don't think its bad luck. Just terrible work by the Front Office. You can go back to Jones missing on Haliburton for Smith - but this really started when Ishbia was approved and in 24 hours, made a franchise altering move that hasn't worked.

The articles also writes the cap and only signing minimum players (Yuti, Eubanks, etc) and how it didn't work. Well they were minimum level players for a reason.

And this will be the offseason cycle until they fix the cap and properly build a team. STarts with Durant, ends with Booker to get under the aprons and re-work the roster. I am not sure just trading Durant will be enough to get the change needed and if you keep Booker, thats another year of his career for his value to continue to decrease.

Another winnable game. It’s whatever. At least finally get to see some Bol Bol minutes. Tyus needs to be benched at least. No way you can’t tell me Monte is worst than TyTy Washington.

This front office is so garbage. Like give any front office KD & Booker & a massive expiring and they wouldn’t do this crap. A roster full of undersized guards with the same skill set, no forwards, & the worst center rotation in the league.

Now have to trade KD for a garbage package and let Beal be a bum for 2 more seasons wasting more of Booker’s prime. I would rather buyout and stretch Beal than trade KD for a garbage package. He has 2 more years left and this isn’t a good free agency class. Some dumb team will give him $25+ a year.

Looking for the next Booker if we happen to eventually trade him or if he opts to leave soon anyways, Upon looking through this coming draft, I ve come across Kobe Brea and did a comparison between him and Booker and found this very interesting!!

https://www.tankathon.com/players/compare?players=koby-brea--devin-booker

Kobe Brea ( currently flying way under the radar at 57th pick I believe, due to athletic limitations ( same as Booker had coming into the league). But very similar projections between the two. So what I'm getting at here is I believe that I might have ow key found the next Devin Booker?

Nah...

Suns need a two way monster in the mold of a Jimmy Butler or Kawhi.

Yeah, unfortunately, this draft doesn't really feature that kind of two-way talent. The closest player you'll find to that archetype wing/forward would be Ace Bailey if we actually had a top 3 pick. There's also only one really elite defensive power wing forward in this entire draft, and that's Jojo Tugler. But much like Dunn, his offensive game is still in its very early stages of development. There might be a slim chance that Nathan Missia Dio can become that rare archetype. But again, it'll take time.

Best to just take high-end talent when it's available in our situation. And again, Brea (according to the majority of scouts/experts projects along the lines of Klay Thompson. But I've seen more possibilities along the lines of Booker. And if we end up moving KD or Booker or both, then we'll really need additional scoring options going forward. :dontknow:

Nah. Ishbia and these suns bloggers don’t get to use the term “bad luck”. Ishbia made this bed. There was no luck/bad luck involved.

You reap what you sow. Here’s the bottomline: Ishbia is a bad owner. I mean great, fantastic, he’s rich and he blows his money. Being rich and throwing cash out everywhere doesn’t make you a good owner. It makes you incompetent. Ishbia is an incompetent owner who romanced the Suns fan base with $2 hot dogs and trading for stars while destroying the whole roster.

This ain’t a case of bad luck, this is a case of incompetence!
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

So you want to build around a 37 year old Durant and waste more cap space on beal and still don’t have draft picks. The suns are stuck and the only way out is to trade both Durant and Booker.

Just deal with Beal for two more years and if they handle Book and KD correctly, Beal will be off in two years. It’s the realistic path . No fun but enough trying to draw to an inside straight flush

The plan -

My two Bobby Sarver moves:
1) One year they had the 17th and 18th picks in the draft so they trade one to Portland for $$ and they drafted Sergio Rodriguez. Traded the other with Grant to the Celtics who picked Rondo. But than two weeks later, signed Marcus Banks to a big contract like 21/4. When you could have sold one pick for cash and drafted Rondo - would have been much cheaper as four year rookie deals were not $21m at the time

2) Signing Diaw and Barbosa as Base year players to extensions but not realizing the cap in 12 months would be hit harder with the Diaw and Lb extensions, so traded Kurt Thomas and two picks to save money

oh yes, number 3

3) When Shaq was traded to Cleveland the Suns got Ben Wallace - who they bought out and saved Bobby a bunch of $$. Rumor was, New Orleans would have taken Tyson Chandler for Wallace. And on that team with Amare, Nash, Marion , or maybe it was Grant Hill, a 5 like Chandler in his prime years would have won them the title. I am convinced! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I think D’Ant was Gm for that Marcus Banks signing, just for that year. It was puzzling. Not sure if Pringles had anything to do with signing of LB and Boris. I believe Bryan Colonjello was around but on his way out. …..and of course f-n Kerr was the architect for trading Thomas, which didn’t have to be done till mid season, if at all. Now it seems like a FU to Bobby as Kerr was soon packing. Lance Blanks w Lon Babby in tow followed and the ****show continued with McDownwardSpiral.

What a dysfunctional front office history… to be continued unfortunately

Why I have Braun in the KD to Denver package as a premium value asset that'd allow us to trade Allen for draft picks/ young talent? Allen is amazing! But Braun is not too far behind in his trajectory and is much cheaper for our interests. :D

Agree with order and trades

Just hope Amico is right. Amick is usually better as an insider

I do think a team will combust in playoffs and be a team wanting in on a Durant trade come July

Thoughts on this?

Riley can go **** himself.

Still not so sure the market for Durant will be as good as one would hope.

Unless they can agree to an extension, trading for an expiring contract.

Granted, I think there are teams closer than the Heat where Durant might push them over the top. Lets see what happens in the playoffs and see what teams will need him

If they sign him to an extension, he’ll be untradable for another 6 months-1 year I think.

Braun is a tricky one... not really sure if he's good talent or if he's just being setup nicely by Jokic or getting open looks.
I see him being good 6th man, but could he create for himself without someone like Jokic? Good athlete and decent IQ, but not a A-grade talent that would be a center piece for a KD trade at all.
