they don't have to match Minny's offer...the Wolves are already over the cap so they can't sign Bledsoe to this deal as a RFA...the suns will sign Bledsoe to a 4 year 63 contract as part of a sign and trade...if they don't Bledsoe is still stuck with the 4 year 48 million...he can't get 4 63 unless the Suns make a trade with Minny

I'm sure we have an interest, just not with what Minnesota is probably offering. Minnesota has the pieces to get a deal done. They probably forgot who our GM is now, though McDonough hasn't lost a trade yet and I'm sure he won't start here.

Yeah, not sure we've heard the end of this. I think PHX is saying that they don't like what's being offered. That's why the Rubio rumor was shot down, and now this. PHX is waiting because they either know how much Minny likes Bledsoe and what they think the breaking point is, or would rather wait it out for the year.

The problem is Bledsoe will think that since his name has been attached to a MAX contract, but that is not the case. His name is only attached to a max contract if other bad contracts go out. That said, I still think if a team with cap signs him to a max deal that PHX will match.

The Timberwolves are showing a willingness to offer Bledsoe a four-year, $63 million maximum contract in a sign-and-trade, but only if they could dump undesirable contracts onto the Suns, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

So we lose a dynamic potential All Star PG and acquire contracts that the team signing him doesn't want?

Makes total sense.

Give me Wiggins or Levine back or GTFO Minnesota!

If Minnesota will give us Wiggins, I'd do it even if we have to throw in Green.

But if Bledsoe will take 4/63, let's do it and get it over with.

I said it before and will say it again. This is leakage by Bledsoe's camp trying to gain an avenue to avoid the Hobson's choice Bledsoe is facing. Months ago when Love was first being discussed, the Suns were reluctant to include Bledsoe in trade talks. At the start of the free agency season, the Suns and T-Wolves discussed a Love trade in which Bledsoe was part of a S&T. Bledsoe and his people wanted no part of Minnesota.

Now it comes up again where Bledsoe is willing to play for Minnesota on a max deal for a sign and trade and it is being reported by LaCava and the puppet master Lebron's press secretary Windhorst.

Get the picture, desperation is setting in and this is Rich Paul's distorted negotiation techniques.

EDIT- Mark Temini who is Rich Paul's "negotiator" is also Flip Saunders' agent. Need more be said?

But if the Suns and Wolves actually talked and the Wolves were offering those bad contracts, I'd have to think this is somewhat legit. The agent can spread lies but if a team is calling, it's too risky to just help a free agent. Especially if we had called their bluff.

If nothing else, this, even more so, probably spells the end of Bledsoe as a Sun long term. He could get a max deal and Phoenix says, no, take 3.87mil and we'll talk next summer.

If we can get him for 4 years @ 60, just do it. We aren't going to be signing and big name FA's anytime soon. We have enough youth to develop anyway that we could his a jackpot somewhere.

they may have also leaked it as a way to force Rubio into a more reasonable extension

@paulcoro: RT @APkrawczynski: The Timberwolves are focused on getting a deal done with Rubio right now and not on Bledsoe according to my sources
