How this is even possible? Oh my, Gobert.
I regret immensely to compare him with Javale ****' McGee.

I was at the game, Wiggins got him twice, so it was bound to happen.

I still feel that some strange ping pong ball bouncing will leave the Lakers with a top three pick.

Yeah, the chances that they get ONE of the top three picks might be better than them getting the sixth pick (if they drop to fifth in the pecking order) but the single biggest odds for one pick would be the sixth. So given total odds, they probably still would stay in top 5, though if someone outside of the top 5 jumps up which happens fairly often....I think they have about a 25% chance, than they drop.

Of course I wouldn't mind it if we won it...though best case scenario is we win the lottery, they finish 4th worst in the standings and it only pushes them to fifth.

And I still feel that some strange ping pong ball bouncing will leave the Sixes with our traded Lakers pick and US Suns fans talking about the player we missed out on for the next 10 years. (See Rondo, Ibaka, etc).

Well lets hope that we are the ones to push them down there. I always imagine how excited I will be if whether we are 14th or 13th worst, watching that card turn around and our logo not to be on it.

Seriously don't we deserve that?

Of course we'd probably pass up Towns or Okafor and take a pg, but still.

Well the Sixers will have that pick regardless of where the balls bounce, it just might not be this year. Oh, and you forgot (Deng, Hayward, Gortat, not to mention guys we passed up when picking)

The Eastern Conference is so pathetic. It is insane how much imbalance there is between the two conferences. The Raptors are in third place in the East. If they were in the West, they would be the eighth seed. The Cavaliers are the second seed in the East and they would be the seventh seed in the West. The league has to do something about this. There are several teams with awful records fighting to make the playoffs there. If the Suns were in the East, they would still be alive for the fifth seed right now instead of almost mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. The quality of Eastern Conference basketball is embarrassing compared to the Western Conference.

Does anyone know who's holding the tie-breaker between the Pelicans and the Thunder? Thunder lost to Memphis and Pelicans are up 9 vs Sacramento atm, gonna go down to the wire between the two. I have to admit I didn't see them hanging around for so long after the beginning of the season, especially with their injuries. West is gonna be even tougher next year. Sheeesh.

NOP does, OKC is done, at best they get 3 more wins, 2 more likely is realistic (or less w/ how they're playing). Too injured. They lost the tiebreak on an AD three at the buzzer.

Just wondering but what would have happened us, thunder, and Pelicans finished with same record? How does 3 team tie get in? I forgot.

in the event of a threeway tie, i think how it works is based on who has the most wins over the other two teams combined gets in. So if OKC beat PHX and NOP for a combined total of 5

PHX beat OKC and NOP a combined total of 3

and NOP beat PHX and OKC a combined total of 4

then in this scenario OKC gets the tie breaker

I always thought it would have been cool for us to win it, and then that pushes the Laker pick to 6 and we get that too. Oh well.

Sounds like there is starting to be some turmoil on the Heat. Eerily similar to some of the stuff we heard about happening on the Suns when Dragic was still on the team. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/23 ... le-On-Heat

Mario Chalmers appears frustrated and said he is unsure of his place on the Miami Heat.

“I don’t even really know what my role is on this team anymore,” Chalmers said. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing.”

Chalmers has started at point guard and shooting guard as well as backing up both positions this season.

“A lot of people are out of rhythm, and you really don’t know what’s going to happen — when you’re going to get the ball, when you’re going to shoot it, you just never know. You just got to be ready for everything, I guess,” Chalmers said.

Dragic also said recently he feels slow and does not feel right and is out of rhythm. Here is the link: http://heatzone.blog.palmbeachpost.com/ ... 03/dragic/

That is exactly what I have been saying for a long time. He looks like a totally different player this year. So much slower and less aggressive. Last year he would take over and dominate a game offensively. This year he barely has an impact on some games. At best he seems like an average point guard. Nothing close to third team All NBA. Obviously his problem was not the Suns. He is having the same problems on the Heat. I still cannot believe anyone would give him a 5 year, 108 million dollar max contract. I have said it all season. I would not even give him Eric Bledsoe's contract. Why would you reward a guy who appears to be having a down year compared to the previous year. Usually it is the opposite. Dragic is getting exposed for what he is. I honestly feel bad for him. He plays with heart. But again, I do not think he will ever be better than he was last year. Seven years into the league and only one really good year. How could anyone designate him a franchise caliber talent. No way.

Btw, is anyone watching the Cavaliers versus Bulls game? Kevin Love has looked terrible in the first half. He can barely elevate. He is another player I would have zero interest in giving a max contract to. Can barely jump, plays no defense, and has no inside game. Suns should stay away from him. They need a young, athletic, dynamic power forward. Not a guy like Love who camps at the three point line. I do not think Love is worth the contract he wants.

Yes, I agree with you. He is a good third option, like he is in Cleveland behind LeBron and Irving, but no way he can be the main player on a playoff team. At this point, I think he is only an slightly better player than Markieff, and his salary is gonna be more than twice. His attitude is better and he is more of a likeable player, but I think his defense is even worse and that is very important on frontcourt players.

Nets are playing extremely well right now. It went from Miami a lock to play the Cavs in round one, to likely missing the playoffs. To the Nets likely to play the Cavs in round 1. If I'm Cleveland, I'd be a little worried. I don't know if anyone on that team can stop Lopez.
