Toronto doesnt want the Kieff headache (especially with PHX looking for a prospect and pick or w/e). We need a guy like Tucker to hold us down while Caroll is out and to play some smallball 4. No reason to make the deal bigger than it needs to be, TOR 1st+filler for Tucker would probably be the offer (and is fair)

You have to admit - Kieff is an upgrade over Scola and Pat Patterson. But I get the headache part

If its just Tucker - I think for the Suns

Scola (expiring - to buy out), a guy like Delon Wright or Nogueira or Cabolco (one of them) -- plus the Raptors pick

It would only be a late 1st or a prospect, Tucker is not worth both (and more likely just a late 1st)

salaries have to match -- it will take Scola plus a player to match salaries for Tucker
And the draft pick will be in the 20's - its worth it for Toronto - they have a chance to beat the Cavs

To me Kieff/Tucker is worth that Nuggets/Knicks pick and expirings and a young guy

I wouldnt even trade Archie for MCW.

And your high ifyou think MCW is better than Bledsoe, completely delusional.

There's objective value. You dont go around overpaying for other players when you dont have to. It's how you end up like the Nets

You're high if you think Bledsoe is still playing for us right now...I meant the PG's on our team that have 2 functional legs. MCW is a 6'6 PG who was rookie of the year and averaged 17 ppg, 6 rpg, and 6 apg during his rookie year. He's better than Archie in the 3 major categories, albeit because he plays more. But he plays more because he's a better player.

Love McD, tough dude. 98.7 Doug Franz and John Gambodoro continue to blast Markieff to no end trying to get public support and pressure McD to make a move incessantly, but no go from McD. Just call him Frankie Sinatra 8-)

Love it

Agreed. But when I see the Raptors - I see a core group signed for the next two to three years: Lowry, DeRozan, Valucunis, Carroll and Ross ( I might be missing somebody ). They are a good team but if the bench can be upgraded - -Tucker; and the PF position upgraded, Markieff (and yes, I get the headaches - but the dude is solid if motivated, and he likes Lowry) - these two are signed the same as the above players.

Just seems they have more value right now than a pick in the 20's or even late lottery while trading a guy not playing like Noguera or Cabolco.

We shall see..

I still see the NYK pick as fair value for a Keef/Tucker package. Keef would be part of their core going forward.

MCW has turnover problems in addition to his inability to shoot. I don't think he's as useful on offense as Archie. The difference is a pass-first mindset (which, shockingly, Booker and Warren have more of than anyone on this roster) and length on defense. He gives Steph Curry more trouble than anyone in the league with his length. That alone is worth something.

I doubt McD is paying any attention to Gambo or the public today.

That's exactly why he'll go to the Knicks. (Phil Jackson tends to have a preference for taller guards for his triangle offense). Along with Monroe. Tadaaaa, triangle is done. Issue is Knicks don't have enough goods to offer back.

I totally do. Patt, Scola (expiring, buy out, nothing works with the Spurs so let him go there on his own or wherever), Delon Wright and that Nuggets/Knicks pick for Kieff and Tucker would be a solid deal for the Raptors

Maybe the Suns would ask for JJ and not Scola

seems like Kieff has gone through 5 stages of grief.

Denial: "lol this a foul game man. I am the Suns premier player. they wouldn't just trade my brother without informing me first.

Anger: the social media wars & rants on the Philadelphia radio regarding the Suns franchise

Bargaining: demands a trade, says he will be gone before the start of the season.

Depression: just has seemed off more than usual since the start of season. He doesn't even complain to refs any more that much, and doesn't bother with shaving.

Acceptance: has stated "I want to be in Phoenix" and recently that he doesn't want to be traded.

and I will postulate a sixth stage: Delusions. He thinks he's the Hulk, and has replaced Marcus Morris with Archie Goodwin as his younger brother lol

You are really in to something there.

Seems like this deal has been discussed on this board four months ago when Kieff said he wanted to play for Toronto or Houston

This is a no brainer for the Raptors - why would they turn this down.

The only thing that is funny is thst ESPN employees are completely clueless.

McD's trades have never been telegraphed.

Return to Phoenix Suns
