While that meeting might be perceived as an act of brinksmanship on the part of Dragic, sources told Sporting News that, over the course of the year, Dragic’s camp has registered its complaints with Suns general manager Ryan McDonough on more than one occasion. But the Suns have not acted, and Dragic’s faith in the team has dwindled.

To everyone who keeps saying that Dragic making these comments is unprofessional, Goran and his camp had already complained to McD throughout the season in private and yet a move was never made so now they went public to see if that will make a difference with the Suns front office:

I would never be a good GM because if I was McD in order to spite Dragic now I'd send his ass to a team he didn't want and then send his brother to the opposite part of the country.

Getting lost in all of this is how well Gerald Green has handled his own situation. His name has been in trade rumors all year, some games he does not even play, and he has kept his mouth shut. Last year was the best year of his career just like it was for Dragic and Green has not complained at all. Dealt with everything with class. All he has said is that he wants to win and make the playoffs.

I highly doubt they would be traded separately. If anything, Zoran will be a throw-in and teams that want to trade for Goran, will also have to take Zoran
To maximize return I would trade Zoran to a team on the list for a 2nd, then Goran for the best offer. Especially with how Dragic's camp has leaked info.

Thats how im interpreting it.
1. Dragic wants to be the starting PG who initiates the offense. 2. Winning doesn't really matter, Its all about his role on the team and obviously money.
1. Correct - he's done it before and didn't the Suns do exceptionally well.
2. Total horse sh*t - you see the video of post-Houston game that's been posted a couple of times? He cares about winning; sounds like the rest of the team doesn't.
That's why he wants to go to LA or NYK?
Lakers with money won't be losing for long, NY with Jackson at the helm likewise. Dragic has 3 more years of prime in him, more if he's got anything of Nash in him (the ability to get better with age - Nash isn't the only one like this of course..).
About Bledsoe being a questionable character guy - I mean a 'team player where their presence benefits those around them, reflected by the number of team wins'. I can't prove it of course but my instinct tells me Bledsoe shows Marbury, rather than Nash, traits; good stats, mediocre team rather than good stats, better team.

I suspect they really wanted to keep Dragic and wanted to make it work. That's about the only think I can really fault McD for - trying too hard to keep Dragic happy when it wasn't ever going to happen. Hopefully, the Suns can get a good return back for him and we can look forward to the young guys taking the next step.
Not exactly - his problem is that we had a winning blue print for a team with Dragic at the helm and RMcD has gone and paid (Bledsoe) and recruited (IT); questionable character guys and bad team fits (the latter probably only in IT's case) who've taken over and ruined team style and chemistry.
Phrasing it like it's Dragic's primadonna fault is simply wrong and fuels the propaganda fire. Yes Dragic possibly could have handled the fallout better but it sounds like he was at it's wits end after seeking out RMcD a number of times with his concerns but nothing changed.
Again, Blame RMcD and Hornacek but this one is not on Dragic.
I'll blame who I want, TYVM.
Dragic is not a guy to build a team around, especially with all the athletic PGs in the West. He can't defend guys like Paul, Westbrook, Lillard or even Conley. Bledsoe can. He's also younger and can hold up to contact better than Goran. Did everyone forget how Dragic broke down at the end of last season? And you all think he's a guys we should give a long-term deal to? His playing style is not conducive to a long, successful playing career. He just doesn't have the physique to hold up the the beating. Better to cut bait now.
Yah the prime reason i hire a point guard is for their defence.
And didn't Nash break down after he was 29. Oh wait.

That`s very harsh to the guy who got him team to play one of the most entertaining games of basketball of all time. And the SSOL Suns needed just a lil bit of luck to have at least one ring. Ah well.
I love Nash. One of my favorite players ever. But with that said his defense was a problem. Now since he was such a great offensive player he was well worth it... gorans no where near Nash as a distributor or shooter and almost as bad of a defender.

Green is a scrub that bounced around Europe and Asia for most of his basketball career. He realizes that he's lucky to even still be in the NBA, that's probably why he's content with his situation. If your seriously comparing Gerald Green to Goran Dragic then wow.
And "some games he does not even play" lol, only one game has he not played in this season.

Yup. You can question his defense and chucking all you want, but Gerald Green is a good guy. Actually probably my favorite Sun personality wise on this current team. http://www.nba.com/suns/gerald-given-green-light-promote-anti-bullying

This whole situation will look bad for the Suns' organization in terms of getting top players to come play here or any player for that matter.

Gambo has been a Suns thorn on the backside the last couple of days it seems... someone mute him.

well when your point guard can't keep people in front of them it does really hurt the whole d... others have to leave their man to help and that creates open shots. Bigs have to help and try to block that points guy and they are out of position and give up offensive rebounds. It does matter.3rdside wrote:Desert_Devil wrote:3rdside wrote:

All I am saying is that Green could have complained about a lack of playing time considering how well he played last year. He even was up for most improved player and sixth man of the year last year. His role has dwindled to sometimes less than ten minutes a game on some nights. He did not even complain when reporters asked him about it. He could have complained but he never did.

Zoran isn't going to get us anything. Considering everyone knows we didn't sign Zoran for basketball reasons, everyone knows we're trading him for non-basketball reasons.

Green is far from `scrub`. Don`t be such a fanboy. Dragic has been a massive douche last 2 days (and probably whole season too).
