100 percent. I think most feel that way deep down, it's more we are hoping our favorite gets drafted and we want to know it today.

JUst saw Lavar and Lonzo were on Kimmel......at this point, I'd rather pick someone other than Ball, because his dad is just poison!

Can't copy and paste well using my phone, however, SB Nation is reporting (rumor mill) that Philly will choose between Jackson and Tatum, which means we could
end up with either Issac Ball Fox or Monk..... I'll go Issac, Monk, Fox then Ball at this point.

It's just my opinion that he's the more risky pick than Isaac. I know this seem contrary to what a lot of people think but I look at it like this: Isaac's best qualities are defense and rebounding those two things translate from college to the pros and I'm pretty confident he'll do them well at the next level. So with that assumption I'm confident Isaac can have a positive impact while being a low usage player on O until that part of his game develops. Where as with Tatum I think his biggest upside is offensively and to fully utilize that he will need to be a higher usage guy so he needs his shots to fall. Now one saving grace for Tatum is he was a pretty good rebounder in college and that usually translates. I don't really know what to make of him defensively; if the suns feel he could be a plus on this side of the ball then yeah he probably should rank higher than Isaac because he has more offensive potential.

The thing is if you are going to be a starter based on just your defense you have to be elite. Even some of the elite defenders have trouble getting playing time if they can't produce offensively in the modern NBA. Tony Allen hurts Memphis as often as he helps them these days. I'm not writing this to say that Isaac can't be elite. I'm more saying that he has to be more than good if his offense is limited.

I guess ball falling in our lap is not bad tho.

Well it's a rumor on a blog. Nothing is true yet. They are working out Monk Thursday and are loaded at F.

I've flipped from Isaac to Tatum. I think Isaac will likely eventually be a really good player, but since I think he'll work much better as a 4 his fit is probably not great with the Suns. There's also a couple medical issues that are troubling; asthma, and he's had hip and feet problems.

Tatum's kind of boring, and I don't think his ceiling is very high, but he's probably the BPA for the Suns.

I've kind of soured on Josh Jackson too to the point where I go back and forth on wanting him. I want him for his ceiling, but his red flags are terrifying. He's a year older than the other freshman because he got held back a year in school, so he's more mentally and physically mature than his peers. With his 50s FT% and funky shot I think the most likely outcome is he's never a competent shooter in the NBA, and without that shooting and defenders respecting his ability to score I don't think his passing (which like his defense is a bit overrated) will be all that useful. You want him to be a Jimmy Butler, but I think it's more likely he's a superpowered and more competitive Cory Brewer or another Justise Winslow.

Man, Collins skill set is everything we are looking for. I want him more than anyone in this draft.

After watching as much draft video as I can stomach, I'm leaning towards Tatum at the moment over Josh Jackson and Isaac. I'm of the belief that the days of the "defense-only, projects on offense guys" are over for now in the NBA. Tatum looks like he could be good on defense too, he doesn't look atrocious, just not as good as Jackson and Isaac. Not really high on Monk and Fox intrigues me, but not sure of how well he would fit with us...but I think he'll be a really really good player in the NBA.

I still think its all smokescreens and there's no chance of Ball falling to us, but I do like his game as much as I despise his father and his "brand". I'd be torn picking him since by all accounts he doesn't want to be anywhere but LA...do you get a mentally weak and broken Ball...or a pissed at a world, destroy the NBA Ball?

I am hoping its Fultz, Josh Jackson, Sixers want to sign Lowry so they go with Monk and that leaves Ball for the Suns

Buy the damn a self enclosed suite at the arena so he is 100 feet up from the court for the Dad. Keep him out of earshot from the floor, the coaches, the locker room.

Trade Bledsoe to say the Mavs for the 9th pick or whatever it takes

Move Knight for whatever bad contract - even if its Iman Shumpert - its less years and cheaper

go from there

Man adjusting to this new job is killing my ability to keep up with draft news and/or post here. Gotta say I'm more interested in what we keep quiet about than what Gambo says, even if he has been correct before. The Josh Jackson "promise" stuff is interesting with him cancelling on Boston and today being his second workout with LA... Hopefully we still get a workout in with him, that'd give me a glimmer of hope.

I can't say that I'm upset we're not getting a workout with Fox; I'm not very convinced by his passing skills for a point guard, and if his shot doesn't develop it's hard to picture him being a starter with the direction the league is going. I'm really curious if/when we'll bring in DSJ, supposedly he's been killing workouts and it'd give us a solid avenue to move on from Bledsoe. If we don't get any guards in then I think it's a safe bet we're committed to Bledsoe. We're publicly working out a lot of mid/late-lottery projected picks for a team that is picking at 4 though, could be a sign we have something in the works or could just be covering all of our bases.

Ideally JJ drops, but my current order if not is Tatum, DSJ, then Isaac. I get the feeling the FO likes Isaac though, especially considering they've already met with him twice with over a week to go in the draft. Wish we could just fast forward to next Thursday lol.
