Said getting rid of him is addition by subtraction, which is what I have been saying since last season (as I have said a million times and you all know). I do not see any way the Suns can go into next season with Markieff on the team. Maybe they do not trade him but instead suspend him without pay for conduct detrimental to the team until there is a trade offer the organization is happy with. Otherwise how are you are supposed to build chemistry when your starting power is claiming prior to training camp he will refuse to listen to the coach or speak to anyone. Sometimes you just have to cut ties and the Suns are at that point with Markieff.
I was very much against cutting him or trading a dollar for a dime but at this point, it really might not be worth having him around the team. I'm probably one of the few people on this board giving Kieff a longer leash just because he still has value on the market and I was happy to keep him on board until at the ASW to build his value before making a trade but this guy seem to be doing his absolute best to destroy ANY trade value he may have left.
I think we move him now, even if it means we're a worse team talent-wise going into the season.
