Unless Monty does something about Ayton's advantage and actually go through him to throw off Warriors who are expecting a shoot out from 3pt and mid range against the suns of which they've game planned well against so far.

How are they going to stop Ayton? Booker? CP3?

They've done it before. Not stop but limited.

3 games against GSW, Book averaged 15/3/2 on 29% FG% and 20% from 3 (-5.3)
4 games against GSW, CP3 averaged 16/4/9 on 54% FG% and 27% from 3 (+1.4)
4 games against GSW, DA averaged 20/10 on 53% FG% (+0.4)

That's a combined -3.5

How many times during the regular season did the Warriors face the SUNS when we were at full strength without injuries/etc?

Milwaukee basically dares you to beat them from 3... Celtics took that dare tonight.

Once but they were also only healthy once as well.

That seems like an important distinction. Also playoffs are a different beast.

Firstly, I still think Memphis has a reasonable chance of beating them, so we are getting ahead of ourselves (and of course we have to advance too).

But, they had one of the top defenses, particularly when Draymond played. Draymond has a really long wingspan. He can bother Ayton a little bit, at least physically and will probably put a hand in his face. I'm not sure about Klay any more as a defender but Wiggins has improved a lot so he would probably be on Book.

But you can say the same about them. Who stops Curry? Who stops Poole? Who stops Klay?

If they get hot shooting from 3 and we don't, they almost certainly win unless we really feed Ayton and he shoots like 70%. Now he did this in the first series even against JV and company so it's possible, but we can't do it with 50% mid range jumpers if GS is hitting 3s at a 40% clip. If they do that then to match it we have to come close to that and/or score a lot of points at a 60% clip +.

10 3 pt shots at 40% = 12 pts
10 2 pt shots at 60% = 12 pts

I know that's basic but it's just tough to beat anyone that can get hot from 3 in a bunch of games unless you can match it. Can our D prevent that? Curry and Klay have always been so good at getting their shots off it will be tough.

Wow, Brooks is such an idiot. Easy flagrant 2 call for the refs. It might be better for Memphis though, he was looking to chuck his way to a loss.

The contact that GSW are allowed to make on defense would be called fouls on Ayton.

Yeah Draymond is one of the best Ayton defenders this season. He only shot 38% (8 for 21) when defended by Dray.

Both Memphis and GState will run our Plod Squad to death. We get past Dallas (like we should) we are going to have find another gear… else just grind them down. Tough roads ahead.

Warriors and Grizzlies are beating the hell out of each other. Whoever comes out on top will be sore going into the next series.

I just look at the difficulty it takes to beat GSW and it will take something special for a team to beat them 4 times.

GSW were shooting 13% from 3 at one stage and had 17 turnovers and it required Ja Morant to score 16 points in clutch time to beat them.

Tough roads ahead...for them. Both teams fear the Suns, not the other way around.

We can play any style of basketball, we are versatile. We can adapt to whichever team, but they can't adapt to us...specially the Warriors.

Sucks for GPII, I liked him as a player.

But Warriors play recklessly, was only a matter of time before something like this happened. The refs allow them to mug other teams, especially in third quarters. And in a lot of that is actual good defense, so I can't entirely hold it against them, but it's pretty egregious how much refs allow them. Add a volatile Green into the mix and they're hard to root for.

I think the Christmas game, and they weren't fully healthy.
I'm not sure either team has played the other at full strength yet.

Brooks should be suspended - it was a bad foul, definetly a flagrant two . So I am not sure how many games - this is the first player that will be suspended - so probably two games

Series is a tough series but for the Warriors to be over the top and not understand, Dray pushes the edge with his style of play --

And lastly, Kerr said he broke the "code." Well Kerr knows about breaking the code as he disrespected the Suns four years ago

Unless it is an injury to his head, they shouldn't add any more punishment. It is the refs own damn fault for allowing such physical contact to go unchecked.
