Said getting rid of him is addition by subtraction, which is what I have been saying since last season (as I have said a million times and you all know). I do not see any way the Suns can go into next season with Markieff on the team. Maybe they do not trade him but instead suspend him without pay for conduct detrimental to the team until there is a trade offer the organization is happy with. Otherwise how are you are supposed to build chemistry when your starting power is claiming prior to training camp he will refuse to listen to the coach or speak to anyone. Sometimes you just have to cut ties and the Suns are at that point with Markieff.
I was very much against cutting him or trading a dollar for a dime but at this point, it really might not be worth having him around the team. I'm probably one of the few people on this board giving Kieff a longer leash just because he still has value on the market and I was happy to keep him on board until at the ASW to build his value before making a trade but this guy seem to be doing his absolute best to destroy ANY trade value he may have left.
I think we move him now, even if it means we're a worse team talent-wise going into the season.
As far as refusing to listen to the coach or speak to anyone, is this just speculation on Gambo's part (or someone else), or is this quotable somewhere?

Now if the entire black court outline was purple instead of black, we'd be in business.

Orange jersey without sleeves look GREAT! Black jerseys are hideous.

The only uni's I really like are the bluish/purple ones. White ones are not that bad.

The Sunburst coming back makes me happy. Much better than that damn bird logo.

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
One thing this offseason has made me feel better about is the situation with Bledsoe last year. It is obvious to me that Rich Paul spearheaded that entire situation. Paul had seven clients in need of contracts this offseason. Three of them remain unsigned and training camp starts in about three weeks. Norris Cole, Tristan Thompson, and the rookie Montrezl Harrell have not signed contracts. I have no clue what Cole is looking to sign for and why nobody has picked him up. And how does a team not sign their draft pick? That is really strange.
Of course the craziest one is Thompson. A player who is a backup and wants a max contract. Imo, Thompson has the same impact as a guy like Jamal Crawford. Important reserve on the bench but can be replaced. I said before I would trade Markieff for Thompson but I would not touch a max contract with him. Trade for him at his qualifying offer or give him that 1+1 second year player option contract so he gets paid this year and possibly next year if he opts in, but that is still nowhere near a max. Max contracts should be reserved for championship caliber superstars, not role players.

Our court needs more purple without sacrificing too much black. I dunno why the chose orange to be the primary color on an already bright wood. During the Nash era it worked better cause there was less of it.

Love the logo in the middle instead of the "SUNS" in blocks which was really stupid. Purple lines give the court balance which is awesome. Hopefully next year they remove the black in the out of bounds areas.
Ill actually miss the orange sleeves IMO

Situation is crazy. If TT takes that contract hed be one of the, if not THE most overpaid player in the league. Yet he still wont bite. Rich Paul is thinking "Well it worked for Bledsoe last year, itll work for Tristan this year". Its gonna bite them back hard not taking that deal.

SHOTS FIRED BY HORNACEK! Love it.
Wait wut? Was this a quote from Hornacek, aimed at the Keef situation? If not aimed at Keef, I wonder what else needs to be taken care of?

Wow. I love Hornacek keeping it real. I'm sure coach wants Keef gone asap. No need to have major distractions dragging the team down mentally. Last year was bas awful from that regard.

Jeff Hornacek believes relationship with Markieff Morris can be fixed, plans on keeping him in Phoenix.
If the Suns truly believe this and it is not just pure fodder to drive up his trade value, then I have lost all respect for the entire organization. The thought of Markieff still being in a Suns uniform come this season is crushing to my love for the Suns. Idk what else to say. I would legitimately lose whatever hope I still have for the team when I finally started to think maybe they were turning the corner. I seriously have a hard time thinking about my favorite team doing this.
