Wonder what the rotations will look like now with these few moves...

I remember there being a ton of hype about Holmes a couple years ago. Huge improvement over Tyson, obviously.

I don't trust this as real news, but it brings up a legitimate possibility of now trading Chriss

Re: 2018 Free Agency and Trade Discussion continued
Holmes is a worthwhile gamble IMO. Had him as a possible trade target to start the summer. Thought maybe a deal involving Daniels would work, but then they drafted like 87 guards. Didn’t consider him being dealt for cash after they picked up his guarantee.
He can block some shots...has a little offensive skill (more than Chandler anyway, at least from the perimeter). He’s probly a bit overrated as a defender due to his block numbers but I think he fits. Obviously not a needle mover though.

Trying out this Substack thing. Suns and NBA thoughts. Check it out: https://hoopsnexus.substack.com/

I said it like 50 times yesterday. Tyson is toast.
I said above - the Clipper are so heavy at PG -- and I know they got Gortat - but Chandler for Milos (preferably Beverly) and Boban makes sense for the Suns and the Clippers have so many roster spots and the Suns could use a PG. Suns waive Boban and it becomes Chandler and Dudley for Beverly, Holmes and bring back Sauce.

Not giving Chriss away but if included in a deal to help longer term - why not.
But the deal is going to be a throw away deal - and just moving on from Chriss. I would like to see one year with Chriss of real coaching but Triano probably gave Ryan a lot of good insight.
Going back to the Cavs for Hill - would they take a flier on Chriss with Chandler for Hill. A bit of cash savings. 3m bucks. They are talking Korver for Bayless so that might make Hill expendable IF - they do move Korver for Bayless

A rim-running, shot-blocking center? Too bad we didn't draft one of those. Lol but actually I'd like a point guard too maybe

It's still too early to move on from Chriss.

It may take him until his second contract to really put the pieces together, a la Channing Frye. It would suck to lose him for nothing.

Bender makes 50% more than Chriss and is a worse player than Quese. The math is simple, if we want to move one of them, it should be Dragan.

reading Twitter - Gambo was behind and basically copying Bordow and Woj
as for Chandler -- if Bordow is correct - probably means no Sauce or seeing if there is a similar dump for dump trade as Dudley

Holmes is a great utility bench guy to spell both PF and C Ayton. He's big enough, quick enough, and versatile enough.
Very good pickup. Just gotta see how rotation shakes out but guessing he's the first big off the bench
