Ghost your ‘GM’ philosophy is the polar opposite of Wishbia. Try predicting what he will do, rather than dreaming what you will do.
It will be easier on us all.
It will be easier on us all.

Ishbia is an NBA casual who prior to purchasing the Suns probably didn't have enough time to watch a lot of NBA games being the CEO of a multi billion dollar company who makes impulsive decisions like he's playing NBA2K for the first time.
But then Saber watches every minute of Suns games, other teams too I guess, and he's approved every move done by Ishbia, so not sure if Ishbia starts watching more games will result in better decisions lol.
Who knows maybe Saber is really Mat Ishbia?

For those making the argument that a Sabonis trade wouldn't likely help us improve or help us become a legitimate playoff team. Full roster context has to ge a consideration.
Also our critical needs defensively too!

Your numbers are wrong. Beal will earn $110M in the next two years. That's why it's impossible to waive and stretch his contract for the Suns.
Yes you are right little Mat, that math doesn’t work …. But it still can be done.
Buyouts:
While the stretch provision regulates when money is paid out, it doesn’t prevent teams and players from negotiating a reduced salary as part of a buyout agreement.
For instance, let’s say a player who has an $18MM expiring contract for 2024/25 agrees in August to give up $3MM in a buyout. As a result of that buyout agreement, his team could stretch his remaining salary and end up with cap hits of $5MM for three seasons (through ’26/27) rather than $6MM.
https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2024/08/hoops-rumors-glossary-stretch-provision-3.html
Beal gives up 10 mill and can go play wherever he wants. Just make it clear to him he’s not playing (rehabbing?) here, ever. He will accommodate and end up in Florida for the minimum.
That's great to know and I think that's a very good option for both the Suns and Beal.

The salaries probably dont work but if we could get something along the lines of Eason + Whitmore + one of our first round picks back, then I would be happy. I dont think we're gonna receive a bigger haul than that for a 37 year old KD on 1 a year contract.

Re: 2024-25 Season Discussion and Speculation Part V
im about sick of this second apron doom and gloom shtt from these so called experts. Its is an easy fix. and there is an only fix. Sure, you could trade Beal, but you'd have to dress him up with so many picks or take back so much crap that it would be detrimental...it's done folks. The path is there. There is no fork in road.
These poor baztards in the media have to repeat their crap over and over to justify their existence. They are so starved for content they have to keep making shtt up to talk about. Wonder this, suppose that. A Thankless endless circle of syrup. Imagine having to cover this team daily. This has been a tough season for them/us. Id like to fast forward the basketball clock about 4 months. Sure as H don't care to watch anymore. Mindless habit I guess.
And Ive listened to that Olson dude a lot on the radio...never seen him. Jesus dude, show up for this on camera interview in a stretched out Tee from your coffee table??? and this is the expert? Come on clown, professional-up a little bit. (I know you are reading this...take a page from dapper McCoy ferchristsakes)) Burns is a may be this may be that fence rider who always ends with a who knows. At least Gambo goes out on a limb.... but, like GdeKlein, he has many many limbs. Did I say many?
There is more valid incite/ideas on this site than what that trio has produced.
This front office would be roasted toasted and buried in a major media market. You got to go national for for anyone to take the gloves off on Wishbia. He is solely responsible for the demise of this franchise.
Im cranky today.

Lol! I'd give them a 1st on top of KD to get back Jaylen Brown and Derrick White if that was really offered at all.
J Brown would be the perfect archetypal physically dominant explosive wing/ forward for Booker to play off of in a 1-2 combo in the pick n roll. And White would be an amazing defensive guard next to Booker, ending this whole " Point Book" nonsense ( again.....lol).
But would also extend our competitive timeline too with a younger Brown and White. I just couldn'tget this trade done fast enough!!!

That's my suspicion for a year now. Or they are lost twins who happen to have exact same thought process.

Shams is a rumor whore. so conditioned to be 'breaking news' that he swallows it down without discretion.
doubt it was for both of them anyway. Doesn't make any sense.

He said again that he has talked to Pele around the league and the Rockets want to deal Jalen Green because of his salary. Dynamic scorer and very good player but they want his salary out if they are gonna bring another high salary player (KD).
He believes that the offer would be Jalen Green, Tari Eason, Jabari Smith and 1 FRP.
He said that is gonna be important to see how the Rockets play in the playoffs. An early exit would make them more aggressive about getting KD for sure.
If 1 FRP is our pick it looks like a good trade though Jalen Green reminds of less efficient Booker to me. So pairing them is like pairing Booker and Beal.
Green Eason smith would be a grab!!!! Take it and build

They were talking about 2022. They won a Championship last year, things have changed a lot in nearly 3 years.

I just don't see the point in trading Beal unless its just for two terrible contracts - I mean would the Bulls do PWill and filler to get out from under Patrick Williams long term. I mean, I don't want Beal trading for Embiid or PG 13. PWill, Huerter (or Collins) and Jalen Smith for Beal if Beal waives his no trade. The Bulls get out of PWills contract, the Suns get three players easier to move than one Bradley Beal
As for the trade with Durant - Green is fine in the trade but with Booker -- that seems to not make sense. If you are trading for Green from Houston, thats two SG making 85m -- the same as now with Beal. Granted, I want to trade Booker - but it seems if you trade for Green, thats redundancy with Bookler. That said, the trade above is excellent for Durant

Even though its only one FRP - its a start to rebuild. And that is what hte Suns need - they need young players to build and possibly use in trades for the future. It will be a series of moves. Not just one move and done
Hence - if you get that from Houston for KD and get a good deal for Booker, I think on the right track

There aint no goddamn way that was ever on the table. The reining NBA champions don't just destroy their team like that.

First off, agree about Kellan Olson. Kid is like 6'8 but he always looks like he rolled out of bed. Big T-shirt, Hoodie or Cargo shorts. Thats fine if you are not on camera. But on camera, look the part.
As for the Suns - it is truly about getting under the apron levels. Burns mentioned that to Olson. Now Gambos report about trading Beal - well how much draft capital will that take - of which you don't have. Plus, what garbage are you getting back. I floated the Bulls trade if they want to dump PWill. Its kind of garbage for garbage but they become flush with cap in the summer of 2027. Though I think with Huerter, Ball, Collins and Coby White, they actually can become flush with cap in 2026 so not likely.
Trading Beal with picks would jsut be stupid. Trading Beal for an Embiid, equally stupid
I just expect Ishbia to do the dumbest thing possible to create buzz for the casual or the NBA analysts but it doesn't do anything on the court
Trading Durant and Booker - he needs to do it if he TRULY wants to win a title. If he wants to be talked about on NBA Today, well he can do stupid crap - waste his money but end up the 9th seed
I just know this -- Ishbia is going to do the worst thing imaginable for the franchise. Thats a given.

Re: 2024-25 Season Discussion and Speculation Part V
There are folks that still think KD and the Knicks have mutual interest. Putting defenders like Bridges, Anunoby, and Robinson around a scorer like KD, while still having a true floor general like Brunson, is about the only way he has the most value. Rumblings of him fitting better than Kat so.....?? I don't think it could ever happen, the Knicks would be silly to entertain KD for Kat. But if they did, its disturbing to also know that D'Angelo Russell is also a free-agent. The three musketeers would be weird!
