Re: 2014 Official FA Thread 3: The Hunt For LeBron Continues
Suns only need to trade players / dump salary IF the second FA star is asking for the veteran MAX.... Someone asking for 15-16 million should not require the Suns to do much dumping.
Bosh is looking at that type of contract.
Sure Rockets can offer 20 million a year.... But they won't... That 94 million dollar rumoured contract is for Melo...
Bosh is coming off a 17/7 season... As 3rd option... You don't pay him option 1 money... Morey won't do that, I believe their offer is around 15/16... Which would be same as what the Suns can/will offer.

I didn't know that in order to be a Suns fan you had to be an active member of a forum? It shouldn't matter when someone starts posting and stops lurking. We are all here because we are fans and want to share our thoughts and opinions with other fans. I respect your opinion but I don't think there was any reason to post something like that and automatically assume people aren't true Suns fans because of when they started posting. No hard feelings though. Thanks for accepting us with open arms! I look forward to some good discussions in the future
I am a sporadic poster at best here at RealGM. A lot of these people are on here daily 365. They are a little protective and have the right to be so. They represent the salt-of-the-earth-planet-orange-all-in-fans that I like to associate with!

No, I don't think a lot of people are like that at all. For whatever reason Kerrsed must have had some sort of issue (having access I guess to IP addresses) with someone saying he was from Phx and assuming he wasn't. But I don't think this was in any way to dissuade a new poster. I just think he saw it and was asking a question.

I definitely understand that. Like I said, I didn't mean any disrespect towards sunsbum or anyone else on here. I'm here to meet other people that are just as passionate about the Suns as I am. I just don't think its fair to question someone's status as a fan because of when they decided to start posting. The suns have always been my team and will continue to be with or without LBJ!

Safelites main contact center is in Columbus Ohio but I work at the contact center in Chandler on Dobson and Chandler Blvd. I'm not sure if my ip address showed up as a Columbus address because we are on the same network or what but I can guarantee that I live in Arizona. I don't know what I can do to prove it to you guys but if you have any ideas let me know.

You don't have to prove anything to anyone. You can be a fan from anywhere. We have plenty of international fans and many fans who don't live in Phx. I live in Austin.

You can go stand outside the United Center and have someone take a pic of you holding the day's newspaper and post the pic on here.
You'd have to do this every day you work for at least 6 months so that we know you aren't just vacationing in Arizona. And we need a copy of your drivers ID so that we know it's actually you in the pics and not someone else that your paying to have the pics taken for you.
Thanks in advance.

I know I dont have to prove anything to anyone but I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with anyone here. Especially a moderator like Kerrsed.

Haha. I think taking pictures outside of the United Center might cause more issues considering its in Chicago...U.S. Airways Center is a short light rail trip away though so I can make that happen!

It's a timing thing unfortunately. It sucks to be lumped in with LBJ followers but you have to understand that there are those who were here actively posting and keeping this board alive when quite frankly, this team sucked and there really wasn't anything to talk about. I welcome all suns fans to this board because a forum requires voices but to see guys come out of the dark just when things are looking bright again would seem suspect to some long time (active) posters. It is what it is

Re: 2014 Official FA Thread 3: The Hunt For LeBron Continues
Please explain to me why we would want to add Chris Bosh to our roster. A lot of folks think he is something special but the stats do not back it up.
Per 36 minutes (Last season)
Bosh..... 18.2 pts....7.4 Rbds....1.2 ast
Markieff. 18.6 pts....8.1 Rbds....2.4 ast
Frye .....14.2 pts....6.5 Rbds....1.5 ast
Marcus...15.9 pts....6.4 Rbds....1.8 ast
Everyone will be older but the Morris brothers will only be 25. Bosh is a not a great rebounder and does not pass the ball. What is so special about him. He seemed to camp out at the three point line as much or more than Frye does when I watched Miami play.
I have no idea what the fuss is about on Bosh. As far as I am concerned we don't need him. He is 30 and not going to get any better. Keep the Mori and add Frye, if the price is right, or add an additional big if we can do better.
Use the money we save by not signing Bosh to add Lebron's favorite guys, Mike Miller and Ray Allen or someone else that is better.

I work across the street from the arena at the Collier Center so that's actually no problem. They opened up a Carl's JR over by the main entrance so I guess I'll just go over there for lunch for, 6 months you say? Can we just do weekdays though? Otherwise I'd have to drive from Goodyear on the weekends.
In all seriousness, I was at the game where Chambers dunked over Jackson at the Madhouse on McDowell. I was really young and don't remember much of it, but my dad said we were there though haha. We've been going to games all of our lives and being able to get season tickets last year and take my dad back to games was such a rewarding season, we had a blast.
McDonough has me feeling the same way Colangelo did. You may not always like what they do, but you know he always has a plan and makes great decisions.
Now to set a calendar reminder for a picture every weekday for the next 6 months....

People need to stop underestimating the Lakers. Haven't you people learned anything by now? They will magically be great somehow, some way. It's how they work. They'll sign Carmelo Anthony, Kobe will morph back into a machine SOMEHOW, and Julius Randle will turn into a budding superstar, because that's how things work out for them.
Never, EVER discount the Lakers. EVER.

Lebron could have zero interest in playing with Bosh for all we know. They're not even in contact apparently.
Love is still the perfect fit with LBJ but it would take some variation of Dragic and the twins to get him...
Bledsoe-Ennis
Green-Archie
Lebron-Tucker/Warren
Love-Frye
Plumlee/Len
Still probably the most talented roster in the league yet Suns fans would be against it.

Thing is if they would've signed Kobe to a Duncan/Dirk-type deal they'd have a super team by yesterday. Stars love the Lakers whether they're great or terrible.

Oh man, look I welcome all new suns fans or lurkers.
Seriously! Welcome to RealGM.
But..I'm superstitious ... And having Lebron in your avatar wearing a Suns jersey is a jinx...
That's it.. Lets all pack it up, it's not gonna happen now.
So... Gordon Hayward, Luol Deng, Lance Stephenson are still available!

It reminds me to that Marbury-Penny trade, when the Suns roster looked like... like... the Lakers roster nowdays. Then we signed that old Canadian point guard and pretty much miracles happened.
