If your the suns, you have to explore a trade for Horford. Quality Bigs don't come available very often (quality bigs are few and far between altogether).

Anyone remember this guy? Seems like yesterday when he came into the league.

I don't know what's funnier, people who think that the Hawks will actually accept an offer of Len/Goodwin/Green for Horford or people who don't even want to offer that to Atlanta because they think Len is gonna be the s**t.

Sure Len might turn out great and I'm not giving up on him but you take the sure thing over the MAYBE thing every single time.

Len sits for these weak ass injuries like a broken finger screw Len. He doesn't seem eager to play for a guy who had injuries,

It would be stupid to offer Len in trade for Horford. We still do not know his potential and his trade value is not that high. Plumlee or a pick would be a better option-as part of a bigger package of course.

What!? :o

Broken fingers suck, and it is so easy to re-injure them if they don't properly heal. So he missed SL and now preseason, who cares. And the dude worked out a ton this summer, is leaner, and seems very eager to get out on the court. I'm sure he hates missing these games.

With that said, I think Len should tape that finger for the whole season.

I've broken my finger and played during a HS basketball game, and re-broke it (albeit light) and played again. Be careful and tape it up, you're good, broken finger isn't like getting shot in the head.

Meh, I've played on a severely sprained ankle, the only difference is, the Suns are paying him a bunch of money, and would rather him play healthy, instead of a nagging injury that may hinder his aggressiveness on defense.

I have no idea why you would counter with being shot in the head. All I said was that broken fingers suck, and your story only reaffirmed my comment that they are easy to re-injure.

I'm pretty sure it was a team decision to sit him. I'm positive he would play if the team didn't hold him back.

I don't think McD is big on mid-season trades (big ones at least). They're high on team chemistry and just gave the PF of the future a longterm deal. I think the Hawks are a top-4 team in the east with him.

IDK about that. I'd say Cleveland, Chicago, Miami, and Washington have a better team then the Hawks do. I'd put em in the running with the Raptors, Hornets, and maybe Nets. All in all, they aren't really contenders, but they will most likely make the playoffs. I think their crowd attendance is in the bottom half of the league too from what I remember, and being a playoff team, that isn't good.

A garbage time 1000th personal post...

...at my rate, I'm looking forward to my "RealGM" status sometime in 2077. Hopefully the Suns will have won a ring by then

Adams in Oklahoma putting 22 points in 21 minutes...I do not see Len putting that stats even in a preseason game for the next 2-3 years.

We will know today if he is healthy and can play tomorrow against the Spurs. Hopefully he comes back and makes a good impression, we need him badly.

So, I had this long, pointless drivel of a post a few pages back, but towards the end, what I was trying to get at with the post, was this portion quoted below:

But in the end, if Warren can develop into an All-NBA SF in the next couple of years, and Plumlee somehow continues to mature into a top 15 C, or Len develops into his potential, basically what I see as each players ceiling at that point, below, we could be in a pretty darn good place by the 2016-2017 season...like 2-3 seed good.

EB (top 12)
Dragic (top 30)
Warren (top 20)
Kieff (top 60)
Len/Plumlee (top 70/top 100ish) OR Okafor/Towns (? after rookie season)

What do you think is our best bet? Or best chances?

Draft Towns/Okafor

Plumlee/Len develop

Trade for a stud Center

So if you don't think McD won't trade during the season, that gives Len/Plumlee a chance to develop, and if nothing else, shows our FO what we have in those two by the end of the season.

So this isn't directed solely toward you of course, just trying to get an idea of what most here think of the above. First, am I smoking some funny stuff to think our guys can develop into those ranges in the next two years?

And if we have the ability...basically LAL pick ends up between 6-10, do we have enough firepower and the will to go after Towns or Okafor, or do we use our assets next offseason to pull the trigger on a trade of a top "big", or do we just develop Len and/or Plumlee?

With the recent Ferry fiasco, they are a team close to the implode. Lets hope for a new owner and a fire sale focusing on the future. or a real sh+tty start. Same goes for Indy. they flounder out of the gate, mid season David West could be a movable piece.

I just have a feeling we will have to address the front line this yr, else just be that team that runs and jacks and wins when the shots fall.

Gobert blossoming, Noel blocking everything in site in Summer League. It's starting to look like we drafted the wrong guy. I've advocated wait & see, give the guy a chance, bigs take 4 years to develop.... but I'm getting impatient.

Completely agree. Those are my two teams I'm targeting for a trade too, if one were to happen. ;)
