Payton phoned his defense in the last 2 seasons. This hopefully fires him up. Back to rookie level effort.

Absolutely cold.
Dude probably ended his career or at least will be out a long time... Playing for your team...
Then you waive him as he sits down recovering.
Should have waived Ulis the useless.
I hope... Canaan comes back and plays again. Dude played hard and well enough to be in the NBA.
Tough league the NBA - too bad he could not go on IR or something.

They should’ve waived Ulis instead...could’ve put an end to the buddy ball between him and Booker too.
I think (and hope) that we are gonna see a much better Ulis as a clear backup now.
He needs to play well enough to be on the roster next season, but I think he is good enough to be at least a third string PG.

Bummer for Canaan, but I thought this would happen.

The Kings ***** the Suns in that deal. It’s one of many, many trades that McDonough has lost.
Disagree. Bogdanovic flat out refused to come over and play for us so we would've lost him for nothing.
He said he wanted time, he didn’t want to come when the Suns were asking him to.
Him and Skal > Chriss

Careful now. I don't think the polls are even closed yet

He wanted a lot more money, that is why he needed to wait three years to scape the rookie scale contract.
He signed a $27M/3 years contract.
He is OK, but he does not impress me.

Bogdan didn't want to come over and sign a rookie contract... By waiting he can get almost double the amount. And the Divac factor
Edit: much more than the rookie contract... Like 4 to 5 times more. Yeah no brainer. I would have done the same.

I don't blame him.
If he came over most likely a 3 year contract with team option at year 3... Total value around 5 million.
He signed a 3 year 27 million contract instead. This one is purely financial and I would have done the same.

Yeah I don't think it had anything to do with not wanting to play for the Suns

He got that contract because Divac wanted. They did not need to give him that much, it is ridiculous.
He would have signed with them if they offered him $15M/3 years too, because they had his rights and he could not earn that money in Europe.
But Divac loves to give money. PapaG has earned good money too because of him.

Re: Season Speculation, Trade Ideas & Discussion Pt. 6
Yeah saw this on Reddit last year. Posted it here.
It's true.
I think NBA should have a clause that players must not have their hair protruding on the area of their face or forwards of their head where the ball nay touch it during shooting.
They must comb it backwards or tie down with hair tie at the back.
So get corn rows or tied down dreads during games and free form afterwards.
If hair styles and facial hair can be OHS issues and employees must keep it conservative then surely NBA GMs and FO can see that wild hair styles affects performance. These players are paid millions to be at optimum conditions.
My take is..
While on the court and competing... Hair style should be not interrupting with the ball.
Beards are different that it doesn't make contact with the ball during a shot or at least it doesn't affect a shot.
If players agree not to ride motorscycles or perform high risk actions as part of their contract surely this (wild big hair) can also be included.
Tie it back down away from the forehad and face area... Done care If it's long backwards away from imparing tie vision and the ball.

The following are some T.J. Warren pre-draft interview quotes from Wednesday, one day before the 2014 NBA Draft. Warren attended North Carolina State, and is a talented 2014 NBA draft prospect:
Question: Of this draft class, who would you like to be drafted alongside?
T.J. Warren: Elfrid Payton. Me and Elfrid met like two months ago, we were preparing for the draft. Just getting familiar with him and with his game, he’s a great player.

O
Yeah 3 for 15 is still a heck of a more than what he would have gotten as a late pick... Something like 1 million a year or just over... And team options to boot.

NBPA wouldn't allow that but I'd say if we were to resign him, we should give him a $5k bonus every season he keeps his hair down. Similar to bonus for games played and body fat % lol

I like this line up.
Payton
Booker
Jackson
Warren
Chandler
Make them matchup to Warren. I would gladly trade the other team going inside the post rather than perimeter... Where Suns are one of the worst perimeter defenders in the league.
Just going to have to ensure Warren boxes out for his team mates.

Honestly, for a 2nd, this is a **** deal. Clearly orl is trying to out tank us, n this may hurt our pick, but it is a deal.....As long as we sign him to a reasonable extension.
