If you were having problems or didn't see it as an option, you can try.

Rubio would be great on a young team. Pass, defend, get everyone involved.

Yes. I think I would do Monroe for Rubio. He is not a long term answer, but he would get all of our young guys good looks. He will also defend.

Up til now, I would not have been interested in Rubio.

First game with Tyler at the point looked good. I think JJ will get better and take more minutes as this season goes on.

I'd rather take on a cheap, low-key vet if anything. I don't want to add a starting PG unless it's a John Wall or Mike Conley.

Problem with trading for or signing a veteran is that they won't be happy on the suns... Especially if they're star level players. So IT won't be happy if suns sign him.

The youth or timeline at least are more patient because what they want is an opportunity to play... And develop.

The key is.... The youth must see progress and a bright future. If the suns continue sucking without seeing development especially in attitude and commitment to winning down the line.. Then it's all lost.

Thing is... McD.. Hate him or love him has said the right things. He is building for a championship run... Not an 8th seed so it means he wants multiple stars not one or one and a half.

What the suns need ultimately is a coach that will bring in a system that proves to be a winning system. Triano is best as assistant so Suns are still working on this bit and getting Ayton or Bagley would or Doncic or even Porter next draft would be an immense boost to Suns championship run aspirations.

Not sure why Rubio is being discussed. They just signed him as a free agent. Exum is out. I don't think they are looking to trade him.

Didn't they trade Teague for Rubio? He only has two years on his contract.
Would anyone entertain trading JJ/Monroe and some 1st for Rubio and Gobert? Someone brought that scenario up to me so I just wanted to hear what the board had to say.

They need a little more time to get stronger but gives you size at every position shooting with Bender to help spread the floor, opens up for Chriss inside and Warren and Jackson to cut the lanes. Thats the dream scencario for the Suns assuming all those guys pan out and I think for us as fans.

the suns will be average at best even if chriss and bender play to there potential. The suns need another all star on this team. Its booker and that's it when it comes to all star talent

How could you possibly know this unless you can time travel and know whos potential is what. Maybe they do need another star and maybe he is already on the roster there is no way to know right now. Just adding a current star to a team doesnt mean its going to workout either there are plenty examples of that not playing out well.

They traded a first round pick for Rubio. They owned OKC's first round pick. Jazz won't trade Gobert.

I’d say there aren’t any PGs available. Look across the league. Every team has a starter and a back up. How do you trade one with creating a need for one?

Also, who out there on the bench is sactually starter quality? Dinwiddie would have been ideal, but with Lin going down, he gets value minutes...TJ McConnell as well.... no way Knicks part with FrankN...
I’d say it’s a safe bet we roll forward with the existing bandaid at PG... and address it in the off-season , likely with Brandon Knight as the one up.

Booker is very mature. I like that. Definitely equipped to be the leader of the Suns for a long time.

Suns are incredibly lucky to have this kid. McDonough doesn’t have a job at the moment if not for him.

We need a 3D point guard, Not a non shooting Rubio. Booker needs to bring the ball up period, when it is time to rest, the PG or JJ. can bring the ball up. Booke needs a PG who can keep the floor spread and keep the D honest when they trap him, that’s not Rubio. I don’t understand why some here want to put the ball into the hands of a lesser player than Booker and eventually JJ for the sake of having a “pg”.

Go with the Ron Harper or Derick Fisher type. If the PG was Curry or Nash or Wall then you make the PG the central focus, otherwise screw going for a atypical pg.

Over the last 4 years who would have thought we'd have the need for a PG...not only the Dragic/Bledsoe/IT, but drafting Ennis, trading the Lakers pick for Knight, drafting Ulis, signing James, etc.

I can't, but I need to have more posts before I do. I can't always keep up with the posts and I try to read every post. I enjoy reading everything you guys have to say. I'll try to post more and maybe I'll eventually get there to be able to PM, haha. I've been lurking for over 3 years now so it's sad that I only have 27 posts..

I don't wish ill will on bledsoe, but him having knee issues would mean that we got away from him just in time and lucked out to be able to get anything out of him. I definitely willing to bet that his knee history is a contributing factor as to why teams weren't wanting to give up much for him.

Not popular but I would rather take on and have Marcus Smart next to Booker over Ricky (disappointment )Rubio.

Blasphemy!

Gobert is over rated as an offensive player.

For Porzingis, KAT, Extended Cousins or Davis I would part with Josh Jackson... But not for Gobert

Suns have a good chance of drafting a better big man than Gobert next draft.
