He was the other player I was thinking about when I took Cam Johnson. Lasted quite a while after that...nice pick at that spot.

Took him last year not expecting much and he really surprised me.

Two guys I was considering. Good picks. I was really thinking how Toppin could end up being the starter at PF. He played very well to end the season with the Knicks (winning me the league because of his stats). Jalen Smith really fumbled with the Pacers, getting every opportunity to be a long-term starter, but ended up showing he is maybe just a fringe NBA player.

Speaking of Jalen Smith, imagine how the Suns would like now with Haliburton. Would be pretty crazy. We'd be pretty small but that offense would be crazy...the passing..and 3 pt shooting....I mean of course it's crazy already. Many wanted Toppin that year too. I wonder how he'd fit with this group. Probably not super ideal since if it's not a Haliburton level talent, that 5th starter makes more sense to be a defensive stud.

Off topic but it really seemed like everyone here wanted Haliburton considering we needed a young pg at the time.

Well I don't think anyone was thinking he would be there so we talked about Toppin, Vassell and I even thought Bane, but most people thought he'd be better at 30. We brought Bane it twice. I would have loved it if we took him too.
