Top 5 pick is all I wish for...

There will be risers and sliders.

Suns need a SF / PF who can shoot.

Wiggins may not even be the ideal pick but nonetheless BPA.

Should we start a 2014 draft thread yet? One of Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Harrison would look great on the suns. I'm sure some wi disappoint and others will rocket up the rankings in the coming year. That's what's fun about the draft and college season.

With the moves the timberwolves are making we may be getting their pick next year too. I'm really looking forward to watching Len/Archie develop this year while putting us in prime position for next years draft as well.

Because we are the Suns and, knowing our luck, we aren`t getting the first picks I would settle for Jabari Parker or Julius Randle with our own and Mario Hezonja with the Wolves` pick.

Yes... you tankers should start your own GD thread so we don't have to look at the continual **** of what if-fing. Take your 'play-good-but-want-to-lose' mentality to its own spot where it is less likely to agitate those who will embrace each W. No hard feelings, but really.... the Whine for Wiggins needs its own place.

Its clear this GM is willing to do things to improve this team THIS yr and is not but an acquisition or two away from competing. Heck, he just shored up two starting positions by dealing a bench player*. Yes, he has patience, but if other teams are taking the Tank mindset, he will capitalize and rape some of their talent. MCD is all about acquiring assets.

*(I am penciling in Bledsoe/Dragic/Butler as starters)

It's a draft thread Frank Lee..

What do you expect??? Suns fans talking about a 10th man potential draftee??

It's like a human swimming in the Pacific Ocean with a steak around his neck and complaining that sharks are ruining his day.

I respect the hell out of your posts but you're wrong. We aren't going to compete for anything but a bottom five record. There is no way and I mean zero percent chance McDonough makes enough moves that we're just mediocre. We're selling off veterans for inexperienced assets with upside. That's all this is.

Bottom 5 ? Wow.... ye' of little faith. Perhaps my Bledsoe-ish anticipation is overblown, but your wet blanket assumption on the ability of McD to add to this roster in positive ways is unwarranted. He just pulled a rabbit and no one even saw the hat. No telling what is left up his sleeve. I can't wait for the finale.

But, (my assumption), bottom 5 is not on his agenda.

This is a 2013 draft thread.

I am suggesting your 2014 unicorn and rainbow draft thread deserves its own place in middle earth. Actually, I was just responding to one of your fellow shire members

Actually I do have faith in him. And I believe him when he said this is going to be a long process. We will revisit this at the end of the year. I promise you there is no chance we aren't picking in the top 5 next Summer. McDonough isn't going to put us back in the 10-13 territory. It makes no sense to do so.

Promises promises..... I'll bet you a frosty cold one we won't be in the top 5 without aid from the pingpong ball or a trade... and I'll come to N'leans to collect. (or pay)

I just can't wait to see that Bledsoe/McLemore backcourt grow together. Oh wait, damn.

Its top 13 protected. So we get it if Minny misses the playoffs or has the best record of the non playoff teams. If they get healthy I think there is a pretty good chance we get it in the 14-18 range next year.

Cool, cheers for that...So really we're hoping they scrape in as the 8th seed right? Cos knowing our luck (cough ATL), they'll miss it and end up picking 13 or higher

There might be a good chance for us to get that pick IF the T-Wolves stay healthy, unfortunately, they are almost always seemingly plagued by injuries.

However, if healthy, they have the talent to be a playoff team in the West.

Its at the very least another storyline for us to follow next season, just like the Lakers this past season. Hopefully this has a better outcome for us.

Shoot, my original response should have said "we get it if Minny MAKES the playoffs or has the best record of the non playoff teams".

But it looks like you got the idea anyway.

Can I just say...

For the next draft, anyone who posts Tweets from Gambo/Coro etc. about who the Suns (or any team) will draft before the pick is announced by Adam Silver should be banned from the boards for 6 months. Ruins all the fun.
