Oh stop it. Monumental lol.

It's frustrating to see that the kids don't look as good as we'd like 1 year later, I agree there. I think we've just got a witches stew of....not great things so its kinda magnifying the summer situation.

Lets us review.

DBook took a pretty historic step from season 1 to 2. There's a reason people are calling him the next Kobe, he ain't a normy.

Chirss was told to put on weight over the off season, I doubt he just showed up 2 months later and they were like....oh **** hey veruca salt when do you turn blue? I know Jmac said there are different ways to gain weight but who knows, I feel like our trainers have their **** together so I will trust them with that situation.

More on the Chriss thing, it has to be frustrating hes not able to do things his body is used to doing, he probably feels like his feet are cemented in bricks. His shot is off because of his weight I can definitely see that. As someone mentioned most of his shots are very strong off the back rim. Maybe that is why we are seeing the poor body language.

Uh, mike james is a butthole. Terrible for this team, terrible for Mcd to even think about picking up another combo guard.

Bender is basically a rookie. I remember Dragic had the same euro deer in headlights look for a few years untill he figured things out. He just needs confidence. Could you imagine moving to a different country at 19? I can't even fathom it at my ripe age of 36 !!

On a positive note, I'm seeing things I like out of Chriss/Bender. Chriss is able to take a hell of a lot more contact down low. I've seen him make a few bull like and 1's that he definitely wouldn't have last year. Bender has made some great stong moves to the hole that have really surprised me. Once he gets his shot going it's going to open his lane up that much more. Mike james, is still a turd. Annnnnnd I'm 100% loving the JJ pick!
Whats better than having the next kobe on your team??? having the next pippen and kobe!!! *gulps down the rest of his purple koolaid*

Well losing a game in a tournament to an 0-3 summer league team has nothing to do with Booker. I was talking about a monumental disappointment for me that our summer league is already over and we got knocked out of the tournament in the first round.

I've seen some good things too, and I've mentioned them. I'm not saying necessarily that I'm disappointed in the play, except for out extremely poor sub 40% shooting from our 3 top 8 picks and also Chriss' turnovers. There were some good things, but I'll be monumentally disappointed it's over and we are not moving on.

Will you or NTB not be disappointed if we are knocked out? If so, why not?

Normally I would but Lakers, Kings and us were the favorites of this tournament and Kings is 0-3, Lakers is 1-2 (defeated Kings without Ball, Ingram, Hart, Kuzma) and we are 1-2. If we were 1-2 but Lakers and Kings were 2-1 or 3-0 then I'd be disappointed.

I was using Booker as an example as to why summer league doesn't have that POP we've been used to. 2 years ago, we had Booker come out strong, then last year we have Tyler Ulis blowing up out of nowhere. Now, we've got our 3 main squeezes, 2 of them clearly need a bit more time and 1 who isnt shooting as well as we'd like but has also come as advertised. I'm just saying we've been a bit spoiled.

I will be bummed if we dont get extra games, I wont really care if we win the tourney. What I'm really looking for is if guys start settling down and when mike james gets cut.

Well for me if other teams are bad, that doesn't make it ok to me if we are bad. I'd like to win. Ingram only played 1 game. I'm not sure about the others. I do know Kuzma looked really good in at least 1 game and Ball had a triple double in 1.

I don't really care if we win the tourney, though it would be nice, but would like to see more games and see some improvement. If we lose to a team tonight that hasn't won a game, then I would guess we showed up again and our players didn't play so well again.

I agreed with most of your post, however I can't allow the incorrect Willy Wonka reference. I believe you were going for "Violet Beauregarde" instead of "Veruca Salt". Veruca was the brat/bad egg who wore red.

Not to judge one's appearance, but if you have 'Chosen 1' tattooed on your arm, then :noway:

I want to win every game. Period.
To get the win our guys need to play good basketball and show improvement.

The last three years our best players in Summer League has been TJ Warren, Booker and Ulis...and you know what, they are good players in the NBA already.

I want to see good play from our youngsters in Summer League, that translates very well to the NBA.
