I'd rather have Gordon.

Favors isnt a 4 but Aaron Gordon at that pricetag???? Give me Derrick all day long.
Favors >>>> Gordon
He also has worked under great coaching (Igor being one of them) the last few years and is coming off his best season shooting with a 59.3% TS%. He may be very comfortable coming to play with Igor and you know if we sign it's someone Igor is very high on already. Gordon has been coached by Skiles, Vogel...several coaches and has been extremely inconsistent.

They were talking about Favors on the Lowe Post a month or so ago and I guess he's been working on his 3pt shot and he plans on taking more of them next year. I'm usually against having two post guys in a starting lineup but I'm not totally against pairing Favors with Ayton. His knowledge of Igors defense could be very helpful for Ayton as he learns that side of the ball and you could stagger their minutes some where Favors still plays a bunch of C.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Interesting list of names there... includes Alex, Elf and Canaan, though they're not under contract for next season. Excludes House and Peters, who don't have guaranteed contracts, but includes Williams, Harrison, Ulis and Reed, who are in the same boat. Excluded are the following players under contract: Knight, Dudley, Chandler (makes sense) and... Bender.
Wise not to read too much into any of that, but you can start to get a sense of who's tight and who's not.

I’d love Favors here. Health is his only issue.

TMac let it slip on The Jump today that Phoenix is going to max Capela. Judging from the reactions of Rachel Nichols and Ramona Shelbourne it was likely something they had told him in confidence. I doubt Houston brings him back in that scenario which would seem to make CP3's negotiating position a little stronger. I can't see him getting more than four years regardless.

I was surprised to see that Colangelo was at draft workouts today...I posted the story in the Colangelo thread. If he doesn't get canned...Sixers fans are going to lose it. Many already kind of have it seems.

Except why draft Ayton and max Capella ... unless it's Doncic and Capella.

Ayton reportedly sees himself more as a 4 and prefers playing the 4 so could make sense from that aspect.

He literally said today in his interview that he plays whatever position the coach tells him to

Pretty sure every prospect in NBA history has said this. I bet he also said something like “I’m a player that will do whatever to win whether it’s defend, rebound or score or whatever the team needs. Etc”. See I can be an NBA player too

What's your point? He said he will play whatever position we put him at, McDonough has been clear about him being a center, he's going to play center. Who cares what he said in a year old interview.
