Keep Clark's Confidence Going Gentry!

Post#1 » by JMac1 » Sun Apr 4, 2010 3:39 pm

Can you imagine an athletic near 6'11 SF with a body physique that looks like Lebron and skills in the Lamar Odom mold?

Sky is the limit for Earl still.
From MarJJMar

I think Clark displayed confidence last night and we need him to continue that if he is going to be the stud we all think he can become. We have to start playing him NOW!!!! What do you guys think? Playoffs or not, I don't want his confidence to regress, hell, his dunk was on NBA TV top plays :D

His dunk is in the top ten plays for the night. This kid has talent. He deserves some more meaningful minutes now...

He's a taller/stronger Marion. I liked what I saw last night from number 55.

Could be a huge rebounder for our team. So athletic!

Clark's at his best when he's able to control the ball like Lebron, he's not Amare where you just pass him the ball in the post but he needs it to be effective. If he gets everything together no reason he can't be a 15-8-4 player in the league.

We've got 25 extra front court minutes at the moment with Robin out that Collins has proven he can't really handle. The only way you learn NBA style basketball is by playing it. He's faster, taller, and more athletic than most small forwards. He just needs experience to hone the skills he would need to be an all star

Exactly. Gentry learns when he is FORCED into things. I think he does that in case he fails, he could always say "hey, I had no choice." Mike D, just didn't give a damn.

Wake Up Gentry

Since his trip to Iowa, he's been solid in every game he's played in. He deserves at least a little bit every game.

You are right. I know I am excitedly greedy, but he deserves 5-10 mins a game. 5 with Steve and 5 without.

I'm more greedy. I want 15 minutes. I feel like most players need a consistent 15 minutes before you can really get to see what they can bring. Dragic and Lopez are prime examples

Next year we can fit him into the rotation reliably, not this year. Sorry guys, won't happen! (Thankfully.)

Um... actually we might have to because Lopez could be out for he playoffs (at least part of them) Collins isn't helping at all and unless Jones comes in and make positive contributions, Clark is the guy.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Everything I've read says Lopez is making good recovery. Besides, we need a Center, not a skinny guy who has no interior game, no offense, and can't play D.

Hunter stop spewing stupid garbage. He showed he can play defense. He grabbed 5 rebounds last night in 12 minutes and should have had a couple more if Kurt Thomas didn't get the veteran no-calls when he pushed off the back.
Suns don't want to make a short term decision by putting Lopez back in if he is not ready. If Lopez is ready to go then we'll play him, simple enough. If not, then we have to consider other alternatives and Clark is our primary backup plan.

The suns need energy. the reason they lost to the bucks is because they played listless. I think clark seems to be the marion only hes got handles and can read pass the ball from the post. I like his potential and lets hope he fully realizes it.

yeah its amazing how much crap u can say about a player who has clearly not even gotten a consistent chance to prove himself. its like a Mike D state of mind with hunter.. i dont love clark i dont hate him i just havent seen enough PT for him to show me something which is fine. next season he can be in the rotation and will be fine but i dont see ANY point in rushing robin back.

LOL. Clark is NOT a back-up in any shape for Lopez. No way, no how. That's like having Marion play Center.

You're a moron.

Or more preposterous, having Clark play PF and Amare C. :eek2:

Playing EC is not worth Amar'e taking a hit on his productivity because he's at his natural position. :/
