Going to be different from the past, the Suns only have three guys remaining (Nash/Amare/Barbosa) from the last time these two teams met in the playoffs and the Spurs have a different role playing case. If Lopez is back they have a good chance to advance.

Speaking of Barbosa he shouldn't be on the floor the whole series. When he plays the opposing team basically has 6 players. Not to mention the Spurs destroy him offensively and defensively. Dragic, Duds, Lou, Frye, Clark off the bench.

The Suns are definitely going to need Robin Lopez to compete in this series. Amare will need to beast and Frye will need to finally show up. I hope Gentry gives Dragic ALOT of minutes, because the Spurs defense are going to literally rape Steve Nash like they've done in past series.

I completely, whole-heartily hate the spurs. Beating them, regardless of the outcome in the WCF, would make my year.

I'd almost rather lose to the Spurs again than lose to the Lakers in the WCF.

Key to the series will be Nash defense. Both Parker and Hill kill Nash everytime. It looks like we have to hidek Nash on Manu! So, the only chance seems that we play Nash lower minutes to get him fresh for clutch time at least and trust our bench even more. Gentry seems to realize that by sticking to Dragic in game 6 despite losing the lead middle in the fourth. And we need JRich and Grant to punish them when they play GHill and Parker together, or even drive on Manu to get him into foul trouble.

That'd be my advice too. Let TD beat us by himself. He is into the ages too. The worst thing we could do is have Manu, GHill, Jefferson and Parker all confident hitting the jumpers.

When we doubled tonight, we allowed them to hit wide open 3's. Put ROLO straight up on Duncan, let him get his 20 pts, but don't leave their shooters wide open.

...and Hill

I don't hate the Spurs, and I don't think the Suns have any revenge on their minds. I think they see this series as a great challenge and opportunity.

Spurs haven't won a title in a few years, but they exude a champion's demeanor. They've earned the quality.

Defeating them is going to require an unrelenting and focused effort. I think this Suns team has it in them to do it.

Will they? I think they will, but I would not stake much on that prediction. It's going to be a war. Scared that Nash is breaking down. If he his, this might tilt "ugly". Fingers crossed he'll be fine.
