Planet Purple or Planet Orange

Post#1 » by AZdeuce » Thu May 27, 2010 4:01 am

Do you realize the Suns actually have two teams in one. Think about what an opponents coach has to play for. Its like game planning for two games in one.

You got planet orange: The Star laden group, plan to play against great passing, three point shooting, stopping the Pick n roll. Containing Nash, try and make Amare a jump shooter.

Then you got Planet Purple: Now you have to game plan to play against a high energy, three pointer showing, unselfish group. Lou the poor man's AK-47. The units quickness.

This is something no team has ever done. Play two separate teams. Its always mix starters with benchers. In a weird way its revolutionary. Also the use of the Zone. Again something as old as basketball itsself yet a revolutionary idea that is working. People the Suns are changing basketball again. The last was SSOL.

Last piece of motivation: Quotes from Highlander

Connor MacLeod:
How do you fight such a savage?

Ramirez:
With heart, faith and steel. In the end there can be only one.

I'm sorry I know this has nothing to do with this post but Planet Purple sounds better than Planet Orange... I wish we would have that instead... :D

Lol yeah I love it.

Night and day between a 7 man and 10 man rotation.

D'Umbass FTL!!

And the Suns have to play zone sometimes because they're not all that great at 1v1 defense, but as a team they do pretty damn well.
