it was a lucky shot. yes, a win is a win but...... suns showed they are more mentally tougher than the lakers. suns just showed they can win in Staples and if suns can push this in game 7, we can win that game.

suns made a lot of mistakes, even gentry but the heart is there. suns just dont give up.

Well, that's pretty much the whole thing with the suns this postseason: finding ways to get into the mix.

the lakers won the game and it wasnt luck. it was artest not giving up on a play and j-rich not even trying to go after the ball when it was up in the air. The lakers just showed that they won a close game. The suns doesnt need to send messages- they need to win.

I wouldn't go all the way and say it was a lucky shot. Those guys were going in to gang rebound off a miss they were anticipating. We were playing like that shot was the last possession and normally it is but it's the playoffs, we gotta play till the buzzer goes off.

Mental toughness? I won't say if we're more or less mentally tough than the Lakers but a mentally tough veteran tough would not have played that possession like that. I'm talking from top the bottom, Gentry made a mistake playing shooters instead of defenders/rebounders in that last possession and JRich made a mistake by losing his assignment.

I think we did send a message and I do hope the Suns use the frustration from this game and bring for Gm 6 and Gm 7.

I still believe in the Suns.

Ye I hope the starters especially Amoron and J-dummy show up on game 6. Lb just need to do us all a favor and pull a hammy on the way to showers. He is a black hole. he slowed the tempo with his 1 on 1 play.

Suns just need to stop being stupid and push the ball up the court. When the Suns were struggling late in the first quarter, parts of the second, and most of the third, is when they walked the ball up court and let LA set their defense up, then continued to walk... or even worse, just stand around... It was glaringly obvious how much a difference it makes to their game when they push the tempo like they did end of the third/all of the 4th quarter. Just have the thought to RUN, RUN, RUN every possession and the Lakers won't be able to handle the Suns. You walk/jog the ball up court and you're doing exactly what the Lakers want you to do.

Huh? The Lakers are the defending champs, it takes mental toughness from an entire team to win it all. You might learn this If the Suns EVER win a ring.

I'm just replying to a bogus statement, saying that a team filled with champions can't handle pressure is just crazy.

This was a great game and it should show the Suns that they are currently the better team and all they have to do is force a game 7. The Lakers have starters who have played a ton of minutes and its starting to show and is why i believe that this is far from over. But the biggest reason I was happy after the game was over because the Suns have improved themselves in some way each game and it shows this is the closest anyone has been to beating the Lakers on their home court if anything the Suns should be feeling like they can win this series, I didn't understand why where the LAkers celebrating like they won the championship or like they think that they have broken this Suns team but they haven't even come close. Sorry LAkers but the Suns will be encouraged by this loss not discouraged because they know the LAKers can loose at Staples ! Go Suns shock the world!

As a fan, it gives me confidances and hope that we can win this series. Amare and Lopez were essentially taken out by the refs by calling early fouls. They couldn't hit a three if their lives depended on it. Our bench was being outplayed by theirs. We misses 11 free throws. Our fast break points was only 3 if I'm not mistaken. They had 22 second chance points. We were in LA and it was the refs were going to give the Lakers the benefits of the calls. And yet we still gave ourselves a chances to win. Luck or no luck, they are still up 1 game on us. But the Suns confidance should be really high. With all those obstacles we still had a chance to steal game 5, it a took an airball from kobe and artests follow thru so the lakers can win.

Suns should win game 6 and its anybody game to win especially in a game 7. GO SUNS!

Love the optimism but how have they shown they can win in Staples? They're 0-3 there so far. Now game 7 will be a chance to say that they've shown that but until then, it was still a pretty sub-par game for our team.

If we are blessed enough to get a game 7 we really need to hope our bench shows up, and everyone can pull down some rebounds and take care of the basketball. TO's and OR's killed us last night.

the calls were going the lakers way, kobe got hacked on the last shot and steve nash gives a pick like he is an airplane. jared flippin dudley went to the line more then kobe
