Rondo triple double against Lakers

Post#1 » by Suns_fan_2007 » Mon Jun 7, 2010 8:26 am

This guy amazes me.

It hurts even more knowing that the Suns had drafted him, and gave him up...
Suns fan during the KJ era (Coliseum), through the Barkley era (Am West Arena), and now the Nash era (US Airways Arena)!

Rondo's numbers in SSOL would be staggering. Pound for pound he'd be our best rebounder/defender. We could put him on any perimeter player with his ridicolous wing-span and nobody can stay in front of him. No way we give Nash an extension last summer if he's here.

If he was under Duhtoni he would have barely played and probably been playing in Europe now. With that being said it makes you think how many players on the bench or out of the league, if put in the right situation can be productive NBA player. Look at Daryl Jefferson Strawberry, the guy alone shut down Lebron defensively when he was in highschool playing against him and was pretty solid in college, if he got a chance to prove himself he might have made some all defensive teams in the NBA while the Suns found their PG of the future and people would be saying, Dragic who?

I don't think Rondo would be as good as he is now if he was with the Suns. No way Rondo would develop like that in Phoenix, especially under Mike D'Antoni.

Rondo wouldn't have developed into what he is today if we had kept him.

Suns have the same thing in Dragic. Unfortunately he has to rot on the bench.

Hence I would like Clark to develop with Nash, Hill and whom ever in the starting line up.... give him confidence and learn.

Rondo improved so much because he had 3 teachers.... + Doc Rivers encouraging him

D'Antoni wouldnt have played him, he would be your typical bench under developed rookie.

How many times are we going to go over this? It was a prearranged deal. Rondo is who Boston wanted. No telling who we take. It's just like Rudy pick, etc. They were made for those teams. And seriously, you guys need to someday get over the fact the Suns traded those picks.

I disagree with those who say he wouldn't work out for us had we kept the pick and actually drafted him to keep. Especially, with talent over yrs that this org has proven to develop. He would've found a way if he was truly that good. And D'Antoni was still gone eventually.
