One more play? Richardson on the move?

This is not based on rumor, only conjecture. Is it possible that with the signing of Warrick and Frye that we may have already targeted a team to move Richardsons expiring to in return for a quality player? Assuming this is true, who do you think it would be? What scenarios might play out?
Richardson to Minny for Al Jefferson/ Ellington? We could still use Richardson as the center piece in an S&T for Bosh, unlikely, but possible. Who are the likely targets outside of the MAX FA club out there?

Maybe, but I think they'll probably wait until he expires in 2011 so we'll have a shot at that FA class.
MELO!

J-rich is our second best player why move him? Unless you can get equal value don't do it, we have enough role players as it is.

We'd have to get quality back in return I just don't want to salary dump a guy who was a great player for us who gave us alot of heart and tenacity and really performed well in the playoffs.
J rich going for 42 in Game 3 of the Portland series was unforgettable.
That bank 3 against the Lakers in game 5.
His game 1 performance against the Spurs. Im telling you that 10-0 run we had game 1 2nd round against the Spurs in the 3rd quarter was the loudest I've ever heard the arena. It was a madhouse.

We would have enough money to sign Melo it looks like. It looks like we could have as much as $23 million if the CAP stays at $55 million next year. That depends on who else we sign here the rest of the way and whether or not we give them multi-year contracts.
As far as moving J-Rich, his expiring could net us some good players. I would like to see who everyone thinks he might be able to bring in, that would tell us whether or not it might be worth moving him.
Richardson might pull in Jefferson, or maybe Igoudala, or maybe Ellis and company. Any of the teams that are preparing for a sale will be interested in getting expirings. Also other teams may look to unload long-term contracts to maintain cap flexibility.

Without an actual big man who can score we'll need someone on the perimeter who can create their own shot. J-Rich isn't that guy. His contract is pretty attractive for team looking to dump salary.

I was thinking Al Jefferson and Martell Webster...

I'd hang onto Richardson unless the results of moving him is a better starting SG. Who dat?
At 14.4m JRich is still a bit pricey for the bang delivered, but he just found his "Suns rhythm & rhyme" in the last 1/3 of the regular season & playoffs. If the Suns get a killer offer now or during the season for his expiring ...sure! But if he keeps playing like he did last year, I want this guy to stick around for a while...at the right price!

Moving Richardson would mean we would need to get a starting SG back in a deal. And I don't know where that would come from. Even if an Iggy deal was available, would it happen? Could Iggy play 2 guard? And I really don't think that we would move him for a big like Jefferson, especially after signings, and Jefferson would be a tougher fit in the system along side Lopez. The Bosh idea is probably a little off.
The most sensible move would be use his expiring as trade bait towards the trade deadline, if the team actually decides to make a move. Like ChrisInAz said, after a rough start this season, Richardson really turned it on, and found his place on this team. Are we willing to move that?

JRich is actually the last player I can see us trading this season (altho he was one of the most likely last season). Why? Because he's an expiring contract and someone we could possibly re-sign at a cheaper rate considering his age. Given we would have his bird rights I think we could re-sign him and sign another FA as well (depending on what his deal was of course).
The only deal I can see becoming available is if a team under the cap wants to give us a TPE and a good young player and/or draft pick. And that seems unlikely at best. We'd have to get a sweet deal to move JRich and I just don't see it happening.
We could package him with LB but multi-player deals that involve 20+ mill in cap space are pretty rare.

i dont see him being traded because of how much he produced in the playoffs for us
