Lon Babby

Mr. Babby is an excellent agent. He is respected by most the league and known for his basketball IQ. He is known to be honest, fair, and to fight hard for the people he represents. I'm excited for our future right now for the first time in a long time. When I broke the Turk to Toronto trade there was a reason for it. Anyway, I will not be commenting anymore beyond occassional things that might be feelings or sentiments. The NBA world is a small one and my family and I were ecstatic when Mr. Babby started the interview process with the Suns. As such though I can no longer post too much about the Suns state of affairs though I will be posting pretty much as a fan only.
Turk really wanted to come here and for the good of the team Babby got him to cut part of his guaranteed money towards the end of his deal. We only got Childress because of Babby. There are a couple of other things going on but I'm not at liberty to discuss them anymore.
Anyway, I'm thrilled. Despite Sarver. I'm ecstatic really. Who didn't just think we would sit in mediocre land and not do much to keep the status quo in the era of $arver? Mr. Babby is a good chunk of the reason things have changed.

Great news, and i am thrilled that you are thrilled! Glad to see that there are other things going on too (must be a Jrich trade).
Babby sounds like a great guy (from what i have been reading on the interwebs), and it also sounds like he is the one in charge of picking out our new GM.
Glad to see you posting again. Truth be told, i will miss the inside info, but as always looking forward to your post coming from a fans prospective.
Party on!

gotta give sarver credit here - he has thought outside of the box and it seems to be a really good pickup
he knows the game inside out, as well as negotiating from a players and agents point of view - im actually happy that we have given this a crack

No. I'd give Sarver credit if he hadn't resigned Frye or signed Warrick and bit the bullet and paid Amare and then made these two deals.
Imagine rolling out with
Nash Dragic
J rich Dudley
Hill Childress
Stoudemire Turkoglu
Lopez Lawal
I'm pleasantly surprised Robert paid money to these guys and the Childress signing could be a great signing for only a 2nd round pick but we'll have to see how it all plays out. They'll be fun to watch again I hope Turkolgu works out well

So true! That lineup with some minor twists would be favorite to beat the Lakers and win the title, for about the same money Sarver is spending now.

Traxxe! Please help me sleep at night by hinting that we may find a better choice at PF than playing Hedo out of position there. Our total lack of rebounding and post D is scaring the hell out of me.
You said there may be more out there. If you can't even drop a yes, Hedo is the plan at 4 or no he's not, that's cool. Totally understand.

Traxxe once said he wouldn't post about trades he wanted to happen, and post a lot if he didn't like them. I may be charged with being overly optimistic, but I am hoping his silence is a positive sign.

Happy to hear Babby has a high bball IQ. Kerr also had a pretty high bball IQ. I doubt there will be anymore big moves, esp at the 4 spot.

Well, I'm not doing any inside info anymore out of respect for Babby. Had someone else been hired then I would continue as usual. Babby was on the list for a bit so that is why I've been mostly silent this offseason after the draft outside of commenting on the frosty relations with Amare. Also, I'd be shooting myself in the foot potentially career wise. In the world of sports it is about who you know. I've been fortunate enough to benefit from relationships. You don't burn bridges and thus I will be extra careful not to do so for the new regime.
Babby has say on picking the GM. Should happen in short order.

If the Suns can land a legit PF I'll be excited. Until then I'll be skeptical.

Well Al Jefferson looks like he'll be off the market and he'll be going to Utah with the Jazz owner spilling the beans on Twitter. That leaves guys like Luis Scola and David West left as legit power forwards. I'd have preferred Jefferson because of his height and girth and he can bang in the post. I'd take either West or Scola next.

If that doesn't work I'd take J-Rich for Andray Blatche, Hinrich, and more filler. Don't want Hinrich really, no need. Buy him out or trade him. Gentry can make the most our of Blatche though. Plus he's only like 23

I dont think Houston has any need for JRich with KMart there, which is the only way we could S&T for Scola, and i dont know if West does anything well enough to be worth pursuing.
I am very happy to know we will have the best bench in the league though.
Dragic
Childress
Dudley
Warrick
Frye

Oh, and to be on topic. Nice to have a guy who's entire job has revolved around getting players paid and CBA crap and what not. He sounds much more qualified as a new head hancho than Kerr was
