Trade that works for everyone

Post#1 » by sunsfan3 » Thu Jul 22, 2010 9:49 am

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=23bt4kd

this trade works for everyone..

reasons why:
-Phil not a huge fan of Bynum
-Paul recently wanted out
-Since Vince choked in the playoffs, magic fans wanted Hedo. here's Hedo back
-Suns lost Amar'e and huge inside presence, here we have Okafor as a huge defensive, and could-be offensive threat.
-Hornets wanted to trade emeka. so they get a tyson chandler-like player, along with a veteran superstar caliber
-Lakers really need a PG... THEY GET PAUL!

now from a suns perspective:

PG- Nash/Dragic
SG- JRich/JChill
SF- Hill/Duds/Clark
PF- Frye/Warrick
C- Okafor/RoLo

by getting rid of Hedo, we free up those wings again.. NICE
by adding Okafor, we bring huge size in the starting lineup, moving Frye to PF... that way, Okafor occupies the post while Frye hits open threes! Emeka is there for post-offense and defense and rebounds while Frye adds a lot of height and three point shooting.
we can develop Warricks mid-range game realllyy well, so that gives RoLo the paint.. plus, it adds more offense to our bench! with a huge front court like that, we dont need Clark to always be at PF and he can develop in his natural position at SF.

wtf? uhhm... no. Okafor's contract sucks worse than Hedo's. And you just locked up at least 3 more championships for the Lake show.

I think Okafor would be good on our team. i really do like Okafor as a player, but not his contract.

Lakers get another Gasol gift. Wow!
They have to give away 3 first rounders to get rid of Okafor's contract to every other team.

If there's one thing that's guaranteed in life it's that threads that have a title like "trade that works for everyone" will definitely NOT work for everyone.

Vince Carter does nothing for the Hornets. On a sidenote if the Hornets send Paul to one of the teams he wants to go to they are an absolute joke. He signed the contract, he can see it out. At least keep him until he's an expiring contract if you want something back.

JRich for Okafor + junk if required, makes a lot more sense than this. Or do you just want to get rid of Hedo's contract?

let´s trade the expring from j-rich for chris paul. he wants to team up with another superstar? there you go. the lakers look like bandits, trading bynum for pual?? hahah - and i agree with kj, j-rich for emeka and we´re contendig. just imagine the defense he would bring aling with lopez, twin towers, baby.

if the suns could work this out, hell we ould definitly contend..

nash / dragic
childress / dragic / turk
turk / ghill / dudley
emeka / clark / frye / lawal
lopez / frye /

i also can think of a lineup with:
nash - childress - frye - emeka - lopez

Look at the unbelievable size we would have.. awesome

Props to the great one

Just because ESPN Trade Checker says we'd improve by 5 games doesn't mean it's a reality. Okafor's contract is worse than Hedo's i don't see that trade ever being proposed by us.

Okafor would play PF and we would have a great defensive frontcourt. Okafor can also play the PnR relatively well, and knows how to rebound.

Need more of a PF.. got Frye/Lopez at C already.
Also, you really want Lakers to get CP3? imagine them playing PHX this year, actually, not only Phoenix... everyone. They would kill everyone.

.... what about?
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=27rqbgp

Obviously ALOT better for Phoenix but I would love to see that happen.

If we wanted Okafor we could have just absorbed his salary with our TE weeks ago. We certainly wouldn't facilitate a Laker trade for CP3 just to get him. Nonsense.

exactly. This trade is pretty much Phoenix getting Okafor for Los Angeles getting CP3?!?! and therefore... Kobe's 6th ring.

Chris Paul in Triangle offense - FAIL
Hedo back in Orlando - FAIL
Lakeshow giving up Bynum - FAIL

Okafor at PF makes some sense but not really that much.
