No Love For Suns

So the general board is pretty much declaring us a lottery team. No one willing to give the Suns a chance at the playoffs to the point that I was absolutely shocked.

Are we all just homers? Will we really not be winning 50 games with the team as it is?

In hindsight, I think it also shows the ugly truth, which is we are moving JRich for a starting PF if we are going to be taken seriously this year.

Yeah see my post on page 3 though, trashing that guy who made the stupid comment about Nash/Hill being old and us being a joke. I think 3 is way high, but playoffs are very realistic.

I'm okay with no one giving the Suns any credit. I hope the so-called analyst decide the Suns will miss the playoffs again just so there will be extra motivation for the team and with less pressure. The Suns are better flying in under the radar, so I'd rather teams, players, fans, etc all underrate Phoenix.

Those people are IDIOTS! Remember last year, almost every NBA analyst said the Suns were NOT going to make the play-offs and what happened............we went to the WCF. Yes, we lost Amare but, now there is no denying that we have the BEST bench in the NBA. I know many people are uncertain about Hedo but I believe he will fit well in our system. EVERY new addition who comes to PHX puts up better numbers than their previous year. Let everyone doubt us.... we will just prove the SUNS Haters wrong AGAIN.

We didn't get any love last year either.....and?

Nash
JRich
Hill
Turk
Lopez

Dragic
JChill
Dudley
Warrick
Frye

We win fifty game easy. They will never give us any credit, just like they say we lost to the Spurs, because of our style....and Why did everyone else lose to the Spurs??

People still consistently putting the Clippers in the top 8, saying this is the year the Clips stop finding a way to suck. Will people never learn?!?

Envy and jealousy brings that, it should be no surprise to us in AZ. It's been one of the fastest growing states in the country for over a decade yet some people try and put it down for the wrong reasons because they envy us, or are just ignorant. What does this have to do with the Suns? They have been one of the most classy and successfull organitions for over 40 years, some people just want to see them fail or are ignorant of what they read in articles, or maybe they are just jealous of the city of Phoenix.

I don't think all of us are homers but some of us are overrating Hedo. It's natural to react like that when you pick up a player after losing a good player. If we pick up a PF i think we're a lock for the playoffs. If we stay put i think we're a borderline playoff team.

That's not a coincidence. thats what happens when you play with Steve Nash. He can make Sasha F'n Vujacic relavent.

The Suns never get any love. Yeah we lost Amar'e but let's take a look at our team against a team like the Blazers...

Nash/Miller
J-rich/Roy
Hill/Batum
Turk/ Aldridge
Lopez/Oden

Dragic/Bayless
Childress/Fernandez
Dudley/Babbitt
Warrick/Camby
Frye/Pryzbilla

Now, I'm not saying that our team is necessarily better, but how would the Blazers be a clear favorite in this match up? Nash>Miller, Roy>J-Rich, Hill>Batum, and RoLo at this point is better then Oden. The matchup between Turk and Aldridge would be a strange one and our Bench is clearly, clearly superior. How do you count a team like the Blazers in so easily and say the suns should be out?

Look at last year's Numbers, These are their stats as starters :

Lopez : 11 pts , 6.2 reb, 1.1 blk, 59% FG, 74% FT in 24 min per game
Oden : 11 pts , 8.5 reb, 2.3 blk, 61% FG, 77% FT in 24 min per game

Oden is the better Defender, Rebounder, Shotblocker and is slightly more efficient. Lopez does seem to have a better jumper, but if Oden had Nash as his PG, you know he would score more than 11pts a game and his numbers would be higher everywhere else in general if he played in the same uptempo style that Lopez gets to play for the Suns. Blazers have the slowest pace in th entire NBA, The Suns have one of the fastest. There is no way you can say Lopez is better at this point.

Yeah, but at least Lopez isn't injured more often than not. Same with people talking about how Houston will be soooooooooooo much better when Yao gets back healthy. WHEN has he ever really been healthy in the past few years. It would be a miracle if he plays 70 games next season. I wouldn't be surprised if Oden hurts his knee again and has to sit out the majority of the season and same with Yao's foot.

I like the doubt, We had much of the same going in to last season. Give's the team time to gel without too much pressure to win right away.

Nothing to get upset about. Every year the Suns lose the off-season and look horrible. Then at the end of the year when they are in contention those same people will say how overrated Nash is because he gets to play with so much talent around him.

I'm so used to that to a point where I just stopped caring. Every year, of all the teams, the Suns recieves the most doubts. I already stopped caring and have the team prove them wrong once again.

Everyone wrote you guys off last year, and you took LA to 6 in the WCF. You guys will be a 3-5 seed and make noise. Unless Nash starts to fall off, and I don't think that will happen this year.
