Rudy Fernandez for Jared Dudley

Post#1 » by Malapropism » Tue Jul 27, 2010 10:42 pm

Don't flame me! I think Dudley is a much better player than Rudy!

I'm arguing with someone who says the Suns would trade Dudley for Fernandez. I thought he was absolutely ridiculous. I'm interested in the opinion of Suns fans.

I'd love that trade, one of the few that seems fair from both sides IMO

MVF likes to take the opposite side of logic. Dudley is 10x more valuable than Rudy. Who choked and who thrived in the playoffs? Rudy has been exposed as a weakling.

How is he 10'x better? plus Rudy would be much better playing in an uptempo system plus he's more athletic than Dudley.

Dudley is worth way more than Fernandez, as much for his more reliable 3 point shooting, as for his size, defense, intensity, and sky high bball IQ. Portland fans can't wait to be rid of him Rudy. Suns fans are loathe to give up Dudley, even for players who look better in some ways on paper.

As for MVF...take his opions in context. He spent pages defending the position that Marbury was a better than Nash ever was.

I'll be the first to admit Nash is the better player, I was talking about if he kept up his game and didn't become a headcase. If he would have averaged more 20-8 seasons an argument could have been made, that was what I was trying to say.

I still hold out hope that one day you will log on and announce that the last few years you have never believed a word you have written and its all been some big sociological experiment to test the confusion and frustration thresholds of online communities.

There is no way in hell that your thoughts are this conflicting with logic in reality. Your attention whoring ways skipped over more and more as each day passes. ****

A bit much at the end there

Thanks,

I don't know what you're getting at but just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them wrong.

As for the topic, why's it so hard to believe? RF is playing on one of the slowest teams in the league while the Suns are one of the faster ones if not highest tempo. We all saw Frye with the Blazers and he came here and made a solid career for himself, why wouldn't that happen with Rudy?

LOL all of you have lost your minds. Rudy blew last season on purpose, he did not want to be here anymore. Go back and look at old video of him getting the ball wide open at the 3 and just holding it. we know what he is worth and will let him rot on the bench for a million rather than let him shoot our lights out on another team while getting nothing in return.

I don't think Mary is that way off :-? I don't know if I would do this trade, but Rudy seems to be great in the right kind of system/team. He was awesome playing for Spain. And he seems to be perfect for our style.

I'm also high on Dudley so it's hard to give him up. But maybe Childress can fill his role? And Dudley SEEMS like the kind of person that would want to go to a bigger market when his contract expires.

I'd do it. We won't be able to afford Dudley next year. Sell high...we could get a pick.

I would not give up Dudley for Rudy.. unless as you have been saying for a first round pick or what not, but Dudley is a crucial part of the Suns bench rotation and is is a lockdown defender, Rudy's D is questionable...

If i were Phoenix I definitely would not do that.

How about Jason Richardson, Jared Dudley for LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Fernandez, and a future first round pick.

Definately, wonder if they would do it though
