NOT A RECENT TRADE THREAD.

I saw an article on Hoopshype I didn't see posted anywhere else. It is an interview of Beans commenting on playing in PHX with Nash. Last paragraph in the article

I thought I would share it since I saw it out there. I still happen to agree, that he would be great for PHX's style, maybe with Lopez at the 4. He brings rebounds, and decent D long with crazy athleticism for a big guy. We would have 2 of the most big guys in the league between Lopez and Beans.

"So, I guess, if they trade me, there could be some nice changes involved, maybe I’ll be on a better team, with better teamwork. When the rumors came out last year about me going to Phoenix, I would’ve loved to play with Steve Nash. Also, the Phoenix team, the city, it was all fun to think about. With a point guard like that, the game is different.”"

I was totally wrong about Stephen Curry. I thought he'd just be a SG (short gunner) in a PG's body but he has some legit PG skills and court vision and his shooting is sweet. He has potential to be Nash-like.

Good call.

“I always saw Steve Nash in (Stephen Curry), and he is the greatest player I’ve ever coached,” Nelson said. “I’ve been looking for another one for a long time and this is as close as I’ve ever seen in a young player. He has that same ability that Steve had. Shooting, passing, knowledge, just the natural things he’s done that he’s worked on his whole life.”

Eddy Curry from the Knicks would have said the same thing.

Would have been interesting if that went down but that was before Lopez emerged and if that happened would there have been much playing time for him?
