EDIT: Nevermind, didn't see the full story on ESPN before. Looks like it's more serious than what was reported.

When have the Suns sought out a player, who is in trouble with the law? It isn't happening.

That was all Colangelo, not sure what Sarver would do but when J-Rich had those two incidents they didn't look to trade him.

They didn't or they knew they couldn't?

He had two DUI incidents within a 2 month period and it was all over the local news

Who are they gonna trade him to? Nobody wanted to touch his contract and with his then-recent DUI's who would want him?

True but I meant that they had opportunities after to trade him but chose not to do so.

The only time he'll an attractive trade asset is when it gets closer to the trade deadline. His expiring contract is the only thing that gives him value. It isn't like the Suns had much of a choice of whether to keep him after the DUI's or not.

Also, where did you get the idea Stephenson is a PG from? He's a 6'5 SG in college.

Which part of "sought out" confused you? And now name a player, who has had trouble with the law, that we have sought out?

And as lilfishi pointed out, we didn't have a good deal for us to trade JRich. But his contract isn't over yet. Still time to trade him. :D

Stephenson played PG for Indy's SL team. Did a pretty good job too. That said, Dragic is way more of a PG than Stephenson.

UofA pulled their offer from this kid. Apparently he's got major issues plus he's not even that good.

That's an understatement. He's got red flags everywhere.

Sign him to be the Robert Horry of the front office. I'd be down for that.

I'm pretty sure it was only one DUI. On 12/21/2008, Jason Richardson was picked up for DUI in Scottsdale. In February of the following year, Jrich was caught driving 90 MPH in a 35 MPH zone with his child unrestricted in the back seat of his car--As far as I know, Jrich was only suspended one time by the NBA for a single DUI charge, and it wasn't for an extended period of time.

Also, why would you want the Suns to sign an individual AFTER that individual committed a violent crime? Why would that be a good idea?

Leave it to MVF to want to recruit a poor character guy who hasnt proved himself that just recently threw a woman down a flight of stairs.

Nope, not trying to get attention at all, eh Mary?

Thus the reason they will probably look to trade him for 10 cents on the dollar. I think everyone agrees what he did was horrible but that was outside the basketball court.
