The time for this season's fantasy basketball madness is approaching quickly. The reason being that the draft takes so damn long

We'll continue the same program we had going last year, with a 13-team "Premier" A-League and a 13-team "Development" B-League. If there is enough interest we can look at creating a third league that would have a similar promotion system with the second league, that the second league has with the first. The Magic board for example does it this way with 3 teams.

First I will list the posters who are "eligible" for the Premier and Development leagues. The top 3 from the D-League are now eligible for the Premier League, while the bottom 3 from the Premier League can only claim a spot in the D-League. If you want to claim your spot, please post here along with either saying you check RealGM PMs regularly or with your e-mail address. Also please post if you want to decline so I can check you off.

If you are new (not eligible for either league) please post as well either saying you check PMs regularly or providing an e-mail address. You'll be put on the waiting list and then as people don't accept their eligible spot, you'll be placed and then we can look at creating a third league if there are enough people.

If people don't claim their Premier League spots they'll be filled by D-League eligible people. If people don't claim D-League spots they will be filled from the wait list, with Suns board members given priority.

About the draft:
-The draft will take place on the forum, much like the Build-a-Team game that is going on now. We will give 8 hours per pick with separate threads for each league. The league managers will enter picks onto rosters in Yahoo Fantasy Basketball, and after the draft the league will be run fully through Yahoo.

i'm game to do this again... this time I wont trade all my players and royally screw myself.

I will be participating again this year. However, I do not want to be in charge of any drafts after the scandal that broke last year. Hahaha.

Lol I don't think there was a scandal people just get pissed when drafts are going slow..like this Build a team thing. You should run it unless you actually don't want to

I suggest a LIVE Draft??? Just make sure everyone can make it. Or order their player list so it picks automatically or have someone pick for them?

They've never worked for fantasy because it ends up being like half Americans and half internationals...we can get a few people helping out with each draft, and have everyone post the next few pickers when they post their pick, to try to keep it going. I don't think enough people would be willing to just do a pre-rank for a live draft if they couldn't make it.

I have the same feeling. We will end up with:

1. The Premier League <-- Which i am re-naming The All-Star League
2. The D-League
3. The Euro League

I'd like to join whatever league that I can. I'm on this board all the time, so there won't be any problems with contacting me.

Obviously I'm in.

With fantasy is easier to have a list of players you want to get, so if everyone makes sure to PM or email the person in charge with his picks (if he will not be available) this should not take as long as the BAT.
