Ok, so i just got done reading this article from the New York Times about "Knockoff Nikes" (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/22/magaz ... ted=1&_r=1) and surprisingly now i am more likely to buy the knockoffs. So after reading the before mentioned article i googled "Puritan Nikes" and found a couple of sites. $45 dollars for a pair of Jordans !?!?!? Free Shipping !?!?!?!? Sign me up! Im just wondering if anyone else has had experience with knockoffs. I had a couple of friends that bought some and they lasted as long as my real pairs.

only the third pair looks nice to me.

Those look comfortable, that's one thing about basketball shoes, almost any pair is comfortable. Ive been wearing skate shoes the past few years for the style but man I miss the comfort of a NIKE

I dunno, was back in the 90s, werent they like the highest selling bball shoe of all time? everyone and their dog had em. White top, clear/blueish/whiteish rubber, black patent leather around the perimeter.

This one is the closest, but definitely not the classic ones.

lol this isn't new. China's been making counterfeit sportswear, luxury goods etc for ages.

I would be careful when buying things from China. 50% of the stuff are fakes. Trust me on dont. Dont fully trust China.

I wasnt insinuating that this was some new and never before heard of thing, just read a good article, and found a cool site, and was wondering if any fellow RealGM'ers have had any experience dealing with this shady matter.

I know they are fakes, thats the point! The Nikes made in the Putian Providence are some of the best Knock-offs around. Thats what the Putian Providence of China is known for, their award wining knock-offs. They even say they are fake on the website.

Yeah, i was just reading about them, seems there are no Wii's and PS2/3's in Brazil and the video game stores only sell this crap. I might have to buy some just for the hell of it.

Nah. They ARE Wiis and PSs. I actually have a wii. But they are imported so they are pretty expensive. I paid 400 US $ for mine and it was a really good deal.

Oh. My mistake. the link you posted didnt work for me, so I just assumed that you were overly excited about some website that were selling cheap genuine Nikes.
