Isn't Janning not guaranteed? Like... he still needs to make the team in Training Camp? Probably something like that with Jones, too. And Dwayne Collins, as well, who was injured for Summer League.

Dwayne Collins signed with an Italian Team, so he wont be attending thsin year's training camp.

I like this signing. Im sure Dwayne Jones i pretty happy coming back to such a great organisation too!

Sweet. I wish we had Lance Banks about a month and a half ago.

If anything, Dwayne jones could be main stay and the suns are getting ready to trade some pieces for a star. I think this is one of lance blanks strengths to make stuff like this happen.

I like it! A solid bench player, who can be great for practice, and definitely an insurance policy for our bigs.

He really did hustle when he was on the floor, and he runs well. He could be a nice finisher for Nash if something happens to Lopez.

Well, Dwayne Jones led the D-League in rebounding last season. Not saying much, but then again, the man can rebound.

In fact, I had a nice opportunity to see Dwayne scrimmage against other D-Leagues and NBA hopefuls about 11 months ago. The trainer who was handling the drills said Dwayne really has an uncanny ability to bring down the ball - a la Dennis Rodman.

The fact that he can rebound the hell out of the ball and the fact that Suns are so small with no rebounders (except Lopez), is reason they brought him in. Dwyane is a fantastic addition. Suns 3 deep in every position.

For some reason, it always puts me in a good mood when the one year contract fringe players get picked up for another season, young guys and vets alike.

It means so much more to those guys than it does the guys who get the 5-6 year, $80-$120m contracts.

Great news - really liked this guy and was kinda choked he got so little burn in the post-season

he and Lawal will be nice together for some toughness
