so what's going on with him? Has he made a decision on where to sign? What are the predictions and why?

From what I have read I think he's deciding between a few teams but I think Suns and Bulls can offer him the most (Bi-Annual). I think he's waiting for a team to step up.

What we need to do is somehow try to get Josh Smith via a trade meanwhile keeping Nash, JRich, Lopez, Dudley. Dragic and Childress... Everyone one else should be for the taken..
I can in vision a lineup that would include Nash, JRich, Hill, Josh Smith and RoLo with Dudley, Childress and Goran coming off the bench with Frye..

We can all envision our own fantasy lineup, but this isn't 2K11 and trades aren't as simple.

Hey, here is the deal:
If he wanted to play for Suns, he'd already sign. Fact that they had a meeting and no commitment was made is a clear sign that he wants something else ---> more play time and more money.
He simply does not want to be a 3rd sting center, in my opinion.
In Phx, he would play behind Lopez and Frye. And Suns are already committed to having power forwards Hedo and Warrick (in addition to Clark and Lawal), so as you can see, play time will be slim to none. For this reason, Dampier will choose a team that gives me a direct backup or starting role.
Unless Gentry comes out and says, "We will move Hedo to SF and Frye to PF in order to give room for Dampier to play backup center," he will not sign here.
That's my take.

He will prob sign w/ Rockets.
Yao not 100%. They don't want Chuck Hayes as center. They signed Brad Miller as backup. So they definitely need a potential starting center if Yao goes down.....which is inevitable.
Either way - I'll get to enjoy Dampier. Either my Suns or my Rockets.

No way he goes to the Rockets to be stuck behind yao and Miller. He might as well come here where he'll probably get more playing, time, or go to CHi town where he'll get even more.
If Yao goes down, Miller will start, with Hayes backing him up.
Hayes played center in the 2008 Playoffs, why can't he do it again?

He is just being lazy and delaying any decision to avoid having to join training camp

I don't think he's coming to Phoenix, I don't like his attitude.

To be honest, I'm caring less and less less about Damp. If he signs with us then great, insurance big for Rolo and adds another big body to our roster. If he doesn't sign, then it doesn't matter since he would've been a 3rd stringer anyway.

I know that it seems like a fantasy lineup but in reality. The Hawks are going to need to get rid of Josh Smith if they really want to keep Al Harford.. After they payed 120+mil for Joe Johnson, it seems unlikely like they can keep all three. We might have to part ways with JRich since he's an expiring contract but having a lineup of Nash, Hill, Hedo, Josh Smith and Rolo is still an affective line up. Then you still bring Goran,JChill, Dudley and Frye from the bench..
JRich and Warrick for Josh Smith sounds good..

Just because the Hawks may look at moving Smith, it doesn't mean they need to *get rid* of him. If anything I'd move Marvin Williams before I move Smith but that's another matter. But like I said, they might look at moving him but they are definitely not under any pressure to which means they will not shortchange themselves by giving up Smith for JRich and Warrick. Horford will get his extension but with about $15m coming off the books next season they can definitely afford their core of JJ, Horford and Smith.
Many others teams would have better offers for Smith than JRich and Warrick
