http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2010/ ... t-for-sunsThe Phoenix Suns are bringing in Stephane Lasme for a workout. Lasme was recently cut by the Boston Celtics and is weighing his options.

He's a high-energy defensive player who's limited offensively but will crash the boards and block shots. Remind you of anyone?

It's good to have more high-energy players but Lasme is yet another undersized PF (6'8" 215lbs). At this point, I'd rather we stick with Clark and Lawal.

Yeah highly redundant. All play time by Lasme can be used to develop the even better Lawal. Don't make sense at all especially considering his height is same as the other plethora of small forwards this team has.
With the Lasme and Earl Barron reports that they are working out here - it looks highly unlikely Damp has chosen Phoenix. I'm assuming Bulls will lock and load Dampier within the next 24 hours.

I think this is pretty cooI! I use to see Lasme at study hall all the time back at UMass a couple years ago. However, he's not that tall for a big man and his shot needs work. I would have to say pass on him. He will get no pt here anyway.

Is there a specific reason we always have undersized or gimmick bigs? I mean, we even tried to get Mark blount

well, if they do get a power forward, I could see them letting Siler go while moving Lawal up to 3rd string center role much like Jarron Collins:
G Nash - Drag - Jann
G Rich - Child - Jann
F Hedo - Hill - Duds
F Warrick - Lasme - Clark
C Lopez - Frye - Lawal

Just because he used to play for the Celtics doesn't mean he's any good Lance...

I started a thread but probably should have put it here, but Brian Skinner appears to be on the verge of being released. I think he could be a servicable defensive rebounding PF if we need to go that way. Now I'm not convinced we need to go that way just yet, but I do look at options that may be available...........
It also appears David West "may be" unhappy in NO, maybe a trade can be worked out with him agreeing to sign an extension with us ???? Here is the link...

We're not winning anything this season anyway so why not give our young guys some playing time? I'd much rather see Lawal develop than bring in Lasme for 1 year.
