Don't know if this has been posted or seen yet - but - all indications point towards Hedo finally coming off the bench.

Gentry said is isn't fair for Hedo to go against power guys like Randolph and that Hedo has accepted to the idea of coming off bench.

If this happens, I'd like to see following depth. Yeah I know Childress is deep behind, but you got no other choice:

G Nash-Janning
G Rich-Duds-Child
F Hill-Hedo-Child
F Warrick-Lawal-Clark
C Lopez-Frye-Siler

Logical, absolutely necessary move. And better to get it out of the way early in the season than let it fester. Starting lineup is probably going to mesh a lot better now.

Now they need to figure out the wing rotation, between, Rich, Hill, Childress and Turk and Dudley.

This is also the time to sign a potential power forward or center, but all I can think of is Dampier and Miki Moore - none of whom are difference makers.

But yes, having Hedo finally off the bench gives Suns a real power forward that can actually do pick n roll with Nash better than Lopez/Hedo.

You will probably see Hedo backing up both Hill and Warrick. You will see Dudley backing up Richardson. I think Josh Childress is the odd man out. He is going to get sporadic, awkward playing time and probably won't produce until next season when Richardson or Hill are gone.

That would be disappointing. Childress is a solid player. Plays good D, he's really efficient offensively, and he's been rebounding the ball very well.

If I had a choice, I'd like to see Hedo's minutes get reduced, but that's unlikely with what he's being paid. Dragic is a good enough creator for the second unit imo, but if they're going to play Hedo solid minutes off the bench might as well let him run the PR.

I say bring in a young big from the D-league thats looking to hustle and get himself a contract in the NBA. Magnum Rolle comes to mind.

may I ask why you guys have STILL put Robin Lopez in the starting lineup?

Bring Mag Rolle in and Janning is expendable. We have an overload of wing players, but they can also sub at the sg. (Duds and Chill). Rolle is a legit 6"10, it couldnt hurt to bring him in for a look, and I think Siller is useless. Yeah, big body but he hasnt helped. Lets get some burn at the Pf. spot for actual big bodies that could develope into REAL POWER FORWARDS!! that can slide to C. when we go small Lawal... Rolle... I do like Warrick starting for now, but Mag Rolle deserves a look at the least. Bring in Mag Rolle, and Dampier, cut Siller and Janning (just arent needed this year, too many good people on the team). It becomes a competition between Damp, Rolle, Clark, and Lawal as to who is on the active and inactive roster.

Suns also worked Rolle out 3 times before the draft, and who knows, If the Pacers didnt draft him at #51, we might have taken him at #60 instead of Collins.

does anyone know if Hilton Armstrong is geting any playing time in washington, or if he would be available. Very long, active big guy, who hustles, robounds and is an athlete. What would it take to get to him?

It would take Gilbert. I have been paying attention to WAS as i own McGee in 2 fantasy leagues, and Hilton has been in kinda a time share with McGee at C.

Hilton would fix a few problems around here. I would start him at the Pf. if he were here and when Lopez goes to the bench slide him to C. Just like when Amare was here. Much less ofense than Amare, WAY MORE DEFENSE/REBOUNDING. If the Suns could find a way to get him here without giving up too much, he would be so very useful.

I've made propositions on the board for many things, but have been scolded and mocked for it, but now I stand correct. Since Robin was drafted, everyone on the board said he'd do great. First they said he'd develop under Shaq, which didn't happen. Then they said he'd be a solid defender off the bench with the lack of a center, which didnt happen. Recently (this offseason) they said he'll have a breakout year with Amar'e's absence, and that hasn't happened. Now everyone wants him traded. I don't understand why it took this long for fans to realize how useless RoLo is.
Oh, and another thing, I proposed a trade for Emeka Okafor, and was scolded for it. I said he'd fit great and he would be a key addition, and once again, was made fun of. Now, Emeka has an immense impace defensively and in the overall success for the Hornets. Imagine how he'd play in our system. He would set REAL and GOOD screens for nash (unlike RoLo) and he'd be a real defensive threat. But no, I was wrong.

So with that said, now, I'm proposing some other trades..
trade Hedo for Jamison or Varajao..
--Jamison has the skills that we like in Hedo, except can play the PF a lot better. Like Hedo, he can shoot threes, distribute the ball, and be an offensive threat. Unlike Hedo, he can rebound n play a little more D.
--Varajao is a true PF. plays defense, rebounds, blocks shots, incredible heart&hustle. great addition.

OR
Hedo for Troy Murphy.
Again, can spread the floor, shoot threes, and has the offensive skillset we see in Hedo. however, murphy is a lot better at rebounding, with 10 per game.

(I'd LOVE to include childress or RoLo in either one of those trades, for money purposes, among other things)

So that being said, the next BEST thing to do, EXTEND JRICH!!!!

Suns won't really be making trades like that.

Look at what Suns really may be - then debate it. A real likelihood is Suns simply sign a free agent big and release Siler/Janning.

Pass on Armstrong. He's a tweener who still hasn't found his position yet. He's tall but not strong enough to rebound, bang or do anything in the post offensively. He doesn't have the shooting touch of Frye either so we can't use him as a stretch 4 (which we don't need anymore of anyway). I'd rather keep EC since he still has potential and if anything Armstrong has probably reached his NBA ceiling.

Pass on Jamison, too old, a big who plays as an SF and won't provide the inside or PnR presence we need.

I'd look at Varejao. He's an excellent defender (and I'm not just talking about his flopping) and while he's not a dominant rebounder, he's satisfactory. I think he'll be better off the bench for us though since he's a liability on offense and his hustle would fit so well with our bench.

I love McGee and De-Jordan and if there's a way to add one of those, it would be amazing.

I'm for extending JRich, but only if we've looked into potential trades first.

No to Varejao the flopper!

Problematic guy , who can provide a lot of foul troubles because of his long tongue and is also known as provocator. I'd rather to see Jason Thompson alike guy . JT is also problematic guy who likes complaining with refs, but he is still young and would be an useful addition to this team. He can play P&R, (see some last year actions when he made some nice p&r and nice sets with Beno. But only his problem is his head.. I saw him how he likes to complaining to refs and leave his assigment alone.. At this moment JT is unreliable guy, but he has a big heart and I love his hustle..

It is question at the moment: Does we need another learning PF or we still needs one experienced PF who can make immediatelly impact?

No way the Wiz are giving up McGee, around here in DC it's HIS face on a lot of ads for the Wizards.

Hilton Armstrong isn't even as good as RoLo, especially when you factor in potential - no thanks.

Varejao, is better than RoLo but basically ensures that we will not be developing RoLo - which I don't like. We're not winning a chip the next couple years so developing our youth is key.

Jason Thompson, I'd love actually.

But Kerrsed is right, the greatest chance is that we don't pull any trades.
