Grant Hill

So it seems Hill is telling the media that he has a couple more years left (that would put him at 40). Seeming how everyone says he will retire a Sun and he himself has said in the past that he would like that, how does this effect our logjam at the SF position? Keep starting him the next couple of years and keep playing the un-trade-able Turk at PF? Bring Turk off the bench at SF for the next 2 years and hope that Hill will retire this time at 40 so Turk can finally take over starting duties in the last year of his contract and BALL? Where does Childress fit in with all this madness going on?

What should/are we going to do? :dontknow:

We should trade Richardson for a PF, I doubt any team wants to take Turk off our hands...

Nash/Dragic
Childress/Dudley
Hill/Turk/Clark
PF/Warrick/Lawal
Frye/Lopez

Yeah, Grant coming out with that is going to cause a problem. We cant trade Hedo (contract), and just signed Chill to this year + 4 more, and Duds to this year +5 more(he isnt a sg.). Not to mention that Clark is a tweener. We are going to have to get rid of someone we really like. Being that Hedo's contract makes him untradable, and Chill is both talented and young, Hill and or Duds may be expendable. Not that I want this, but what other choices do we have. We literally have 4 Sfs. on this team.

Not if we get good players in return.

Even if we trade Rich, we would have two natural Sfs. at the two guard in Chill and Duds. Then we would still have to make the decision of who goes to the bench.... Hill, or Ball...... I mean Hedo. Its not a decision I like but I think we need to keep the only real sg. (Rich), on this team and make a decision on what Sfs. stay.

I'm assuming we would go after a single player which will be a PF. However, what PF is available that can rebound, play defense and carry some of the scoring load?

You see, this is when the hedo trade makes no sense whatsoever..Did we really get him to be a long term PF? really..?

As long as he plays like he has for us in the last couple of games, then i am fine with him playing into his 40s with the suns.

He's been our best player with Nash out.

Skinny Dudley sucks.

Move Hill to SG and trade JRich for JSmith or something. He will still play midrange and corner 3 on offense, and Hedo plays like a SG anyway

Nash/Dragic
Hill/Dudley
Hedo/Childress
Legit PF/Warrick
Lopez/Frye

JRich, Clark, Lawal, $5M TPE, and all eligible draft picks are on the block.

Anyone else thinking about a JRich for Murphy swap? Nets need scoring, we need a rebounding big. So far he hasn't done much for them. Maybe we could coerce them into giving us a draft pick or young player out of it too. Not the best defender in the world though.
