Do the suns regret not trading amare for hickson?

just wondering. i know there was talks about this trade at the deadline. instead of letting amare walk for nothing, they would've got a decent young pf with some potential who i think would thrive in the suns offense.

I don't know what other people think, but i certainly don't regret it.
Amare was balling towards the end of the season and without him, we never would have reached the conference finals. Plus, i dislike Lebron and handing over Amare might have enabled Cleveland to win a title. Hickson isn't even playing as well right now as people hyped him up to be though admittedly he's probably a better PF for the suns than all our tweeners. but overall, i don't regret it.

Do the Cavs regret not pursuing him any harder?

Thompson >>> Hickson.
No regrets at all.

I regret the Suns not keeping Amare, no matter the cost we knew we weren't going to get anyone better.

Hell no. Keeping Amare led to us finishing the season 32-7 (or something like that) and then beating Portland, sweeping San Antonio and just inches away from reaching the finals and beating Boston. I will never forget about those three series where
a) Jrich went **** on Portland
b) Dragic humiliated San Antonio in G3
c) How we played against LA in G3, G4 and the heartbreaking losses in G5 and G6.

This. We made the WCF and lost to an LA team that got lucky several times and numerous home cooking calls. Nothing to be ashamed about last season.

This too. Maybe Lebron stays if Amare is already there. Cavs messed up.

Yeah I don't regret it either, Hickson is overrated anyway

Used the free cap space to sign Childress and Warrick.
Childress >> JJ Hickson (who is sucking BTW) and Warrick > JJ Hickson

i cant forget that either, thats disapointing that our fo and ownership did not do enough to keep the team competitive. hel we played the wcf, how can you accept to step back?

no, I think its the other way around! ppl confuse athleticism with talent. JJ Hickson disappeared in the post season and he is invisible now.

I don't regret it at all, since we went all the way to the WCF.
But if i were to regret anything. I would regret not trading amare for Michael Beastly!

I dont think it was cleveland but more lebron. Man at least Jordan waited til he retired to suck at trading for players.
