That really wasn't even that good of an inbounds play.

lol remember the "brawl" last season? That was effing hilarious. Channing vs Earl Watson. Richardson vs Granger. Granger "shhhh"ing the crowd. Granger's Pacers losing.

I loved that game. Two complete non-rivals turning in a playoffs-worthy atmosphere.

Gonna be a challenging game for Suns. Pacers are actually decent this year.

Game-thread starting 5 for Suns and Pacers is correct, however, Frye is more officially your "power forward" since he is the shooter and Barron is more officially your "center" since he is more rebounding and presence. And when Lopez comes back, you're going to have Frye (PF) and Lopez (C) up front.

When Lopez comes back from injury, Childress is going to be one ANGRY man with no play time:

nash-drag
rich-duds
hill-hedo
frye-hakim
lopez-barron

I don't know why some people are so confident that it's Childress and not Dudley that gets screwed on PT. My assumption would be the opposite, that Dudley is ultimately gonna get worked out of this rotation and if one of them is traded, that it would be him. Childress looks to be performing a bit better and IMO has more upside - more skill versus Duds' pure scrappiness. The other possibility of course is that we bite the bullet on paying Chill and Duds with the intention of one becoming the starter when Hill retires.

My assumption would be that Earl Barron would be the angry one, not the guys we just signed to multi-year deals.

Awesome multi-year deals that other teams would be high on. Dudley is on a very friendly contract. Just like Mik, if it came down to the two (Childress/Dudley), i see Dudley getting traded. Especially if Hill does try for another 2 year contract. I think we gave out those deals expecting Hill to retire after this year.

Here is the problem: If Dudley is out of the rotation, that means Childress would be the one taking the backup shooting guard minutes. And the problem with that is Childress cannot play shooting guard. He could not shoot if his life depended on it. Dudley works perfectly with Nash whereas Childress is more of a slasher. Not a bad thing, but just saying that his game is a forward's game and the Suns have too many of that....Josh works better at any forward slot (SF/PF) than he does as SG.

Well, yes that may be true. They prob have Warrick move up to center off the bench and play Childress at power forward at times like how they did Marion. Gentry even spoke about how Childress reminds him of Marion and he even tried Childress at PF for a few minutes during certain games (e.g. the Lakers win).

I'd rather see Dudley get traded then Childress.
Jared Dudley for Glen Davis.

I'd do that, but Boston wouldnt. The have no back-up for KG, and already have 5 SG's on the payroll.

i don't see how/why suns would sign dudley to extension then trade him.

no way he is getting traded - although would love big baby for duds as well.

only problem is what i mentioned before: childress at shooting guard is horrific. he cannot shoot and is only a slasher - much like marion or a slender power forward type guy. that's why gentry has never played him at shooting guard this season..

Childress can shoot. My money is on the broken finger/ wearing a splint is effecting his shot. Have you tried to shoot wearing a splint? I have, and its hard as hell. Just because Kobe can do it doesnt mean that everybody can.

I fell like a right bastard for sort of wishing Hill would retire ... and also a chump, given how he's playing. I just hate seeing these other guys out in the cold.

I've been swayed by the argument that Nash/Hill is not optimum but geez - did you see last night, the give and go with the two of them? There was so much IQ on display there it was like the open bar at the Nobel Awards
