Lockout Question

Ok, from the leaks that i have been reading, both sides are very very far apart, and if there is a lockout next year, what happens to the players that only have one year left on their contracts? After the lockout year (2011-2012) would Nash still have that 1 year remaining, or could this be the last year he plays?

Anybody have any insight on this subject?

Technically, Nash would only be under contract for that 2011-2012 season. So if there was a lockout for that season, this year (2010-2011) could be the last year he plays under his existing contract.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Captain Canada's a pretty resilient and loyal guy.

It would definitely suck for him not to be able to play in one of the last years, if not the last year he's really in NBA shape

If a lock-out does happen, in order to stay in baketball shape Nash will sign a 1 year deal to play with a Canadian soccer team. He's not good enough to be a starter but will practice hard and come off their bench in very limited situations. Would be a great PR move by some team and could draw a lot of fans to another-wise very boring sport.
