Dragon denies rumor of fight with Hedo

As is normally the case with things you read on the internets, or in tabloids like the NY Post, you just have to take things with a few grains of salt. Today, Peter Vecsey "reported" that Suns guard Goran Dragic and now-former Sun Hedo Turkoglu "nearly came to blows."

Dragic, when asked about the report, seemed genuinely confused.

"Me and Hedo? When?" he asked.

"Oh no, we were good. When he was here, every time we went together for the dinner, lunch. We didn't have fight on the court or off the court, so I don't know."

Hopefully Dragic and Hedo can settle this when the Magic come to town...

If there is a lockout hopefully they can start to allow players to fight like they do in hockey, what's the harm in a little scrap? Get's the crowd and players pumped up

That's way different though

I was talking about like they do in hockey, like two players (usually the enforcers) drop the gloves and give eachother between 10 and 15 punches and a pat on the back in the end, not sure why that wouldn't work in the NBA, pipedream I know

With love from Hedo to Zoran Fragic :D

It was not a victory, but it felt like a success. Orlando dropped a 105-99 game to the red-hot Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night at Amway Center, but they looked much more like a real basketball team than they did on Monday in Atlanta. After Saturday’s mid-season makeover, the Magic resembled a talented pick up team against the Hawks, but one night later took the 23-5 Mavericks down to the wire. A big reason for the dramatic improvement was the play of Hedo Turkoglu.

Turkoglu received a warm welcome from Magic fans during team introductions, then went out and reminded everyone just exactly why he was such a popular player during his five previous seasons in Orlando. His on-court rapport with Dwight Howard was on display, as time after time Hedo and Howard helped one another find openings in the Dallas defense. Howard setting solid screens for Turk at the top of the key. Turk, using his 6’10” frame to pass the ball over smaller defenders to Dwight at just the right time, in just the right spot for Howard to score around the basket. They have such a nice chemistry, you would never know that the two have not played together in 18 months, since the NBA Finals in 2009.

The stat sheet said Turkoglu had a bad game. The stat sheet lied. Nine missed shots and 4 turnovers would ordinarily disqualify a player from receiving praise of any kind after a team loss, but more than a few of those errant shots were on drives to the basket, resulting in Howard rebounds and put backs, and his turnovers were mostly a result of plays of aggression. Mistakes you can live with. Turkoglu led the team with 8 assists, directed the half-court offense aggressively and effectively in the 4th quarter, and on the defensive end, guarded 9-time all-star Dirk Nowitzki with a ferocity that one can only hope we see much more of in the coming months. Nowitzki scored just 17 hard-earned points on 4 of 13 shooting. He was hounded by Hedo throughout the game.

Turkoglu is obviously ecstatic to be back in Orlando, a sentiment shared, no doubt by most Magic fans, and Dwight Howard as well.

Alright enough of this.

Hedo's not here anymore, nobody wants every thread to get random pepperings of Hedo homerism

Check your PMs

That pizza during half time must've affeected his verticle leap.

No, but in all seriousness, I'm happy for Hedo that he's back in Orlando, where the fans love him. He is a terrific player, but just didnt fit in our system.

This isn't remotely relevant. Don't derail threads.

I'm happy for Hedo. I think if he was to have success again, it'll be with the Magic. All the best to Hedo. But not when he comes back against the Suns lol.

Jkidd has committed some pretty dangerous fouls on the fast break IMO...I don't like it.

Regarding this thread...I freaking LOVE Goran and his attitude. Has anyone noticed that he is constantly cussing while he's on the court, and always has a scowl on his face? This guy wants it, and he'll kill your mother to get it.

Yep. Goran is COLD-BLOODED. My favorite characteristic. It's about time someone on this team had balls.
