I'm starting to get sick of Gentry's softness and his rotation fails (even though he's not horrible). If Dan stepped UP, do you think he'd do well? Do you think he should?

Not sure what his coaching style would be, best guess is 50-50 on offense and defense. Yeah though after Gentry's contract is up wouldn't hurt to give him a try.

Gentry loses another 13 games and he'll be coaching the Suns.

unbelievable, Gentry didnt get a fair shake this first 25 games! He was instrumental in leading the suns to the WCF with his approach and his 10 man rotation. Fact is Hedo was a wreck to the team chemistry and fluidity and also we did lose a 5 time all star and an first team all NBA player in Amare. What do u gusy suggest? the FO gave him SFs instead of a Center and PF. Whats dan going to do? Gentry deserves to stay and get extended. Unfreakingbelievable!!!! its easy to pick apart his choice but last time Goran and Lopez resurgence was in due part of gentry! Whats Dan going to do? just because he was a good player doesnt mean he is going to be a good coach. Wake up and Stop this nonsense!!

We've been one of the tougher Nash-led Suns team. I don't think we could ask more from Gentry from that standpoint. Anything else and it's up to the players.

I think Dan is a little too close to the players to be a head coach for Phx at this time. Also, you always see him hamming it up on camera behind the announcers. Maybe he'll mature over the next five years into a real head coach but probably not for the Suns.

Like I said in another thread, I feel like Gentry's just a stopgap until Dan's ready to take over.

I'm a huge Gentry fan, but he does have some problems he needs to work out. Mainly, his lack of ability to recognize what does and doesn't work and to work accordingly. Killed us in the WCF.

And I'd rather have Majerle be too close to our players than have Gentry be butt buddies with Kobe f'n Bryant. That REALLY pissed me off.

I knw it's been diffiicult for Gentry in this early part of the season. He has had a very difficult roster to work with. He is a good coach, but still needs experience. Some of the decisions made by him during some games have been extremely questionable, such as using Hakim Warrick to guard Tim Duncan when we were mounting a comeback.
