Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley made one of those playoff guarantees before the season and it’s been a tough go for the 13-17 Grizzlies, last in the Southwest.
If the guy above (Heisley) thinks that we're a playoff team and we don't make the playoffs, then he'll be looking at me (Lionel Hollins). If we're realistic about everything, we'll understand that we have to do something to strengthen our roster.” I think the Grizzlies biggest issue is they paid Rudy Gay and Mike Conley while Zach Randolph waits impatiently for an extension (most expect him to be traded)
I'd keep Nash if we can get this Randolph.....What do they want, VC's expiring and Orlando picks plus a second rounder?

I just hope that incident when he punked on Lou doesn't prevent the Suns trying to make a trade for him. It shouldn't considering he's not even on the team anymore and if you have the chance to trade for one of the best rebounders in the league I would think management would go for it and the fans would forgive him right?

Randolph is already expiring and they have no need for VC. Would need to be a 3rd team involved and the Suns would have to add more value.

I agree with Kerrsed and I don't think the Grizzlies are going to want Vince Carter anyway. Have to find a way get Zbo without giving up the players Kerrsed mentioned. Sam Smith is very unreliable when it comes to his articles but since ZBo is an expiring I believe the Grizzlies will trade him to get something in return so they don't lose him for nothing !

If we traded for him, we'd have to think with an almost certainly that we could extend him in the offseason.

So this means that either we're going to re-sign Nash and Hill again after their contracts are up and try to compete or we're going to be rebuilding around cancer...

I'm with you. We need to keep Carter, it seems as if everyone wants him gone and he hasn't even played a game yet.

I'm down with this too, but how much money do we need to make the trade happen. We have willing (Warrick, Frye, and Chill) and unwilling (Lopez, Dragic, and Duds). We have the TPE too?
If we don't trade for Randolph or Gasol, then I don't want to keep Nash or Hill. They say Gasol and Conley are avaiable too. We need either Gasol or Randolph, today.......

I really don't care if Carter stays or goes, but I don't see any conceivable way to get Zbo without trading him... point is I'd rather have an All Star caliber PF than an aging SG whos best years are behind him. Especially with our abundance of wings.

I remember when he punked Lou and it really pissed me off. However we need someone who is willing to take a shot at other players. We are way too nice and gentlemanly of a team. We could use and a**hole or two on the team!!

I think the money would work if we use our TPE. Though I do agree that Memphis would not want those contracts even with the pick.

I have no beef with what happened between Z-Bo and Lou but I really don't like Z-Bo's fit for this team. Some of you just look at his stats and think, oh wow 20-10 guy, but I'm more concerned about the fit rather than stats. We know our system would inflate stats and Nash will make the game easier so I'd rather a 15/7 PF fit in than a 20/10 guy comes in and destroys the system.
