I've talked myself into it: it's time to rebuild

I've done a lot of thinking... and I believe I am now mentally prepared to accept a rebuild. The timing is perfect.

Even IF we acquire a stud PF... this isn't a championship team. The East is far too hot. I think Miami, Chicago, Orlando, or Boston wins it this year. Plus even with the PF we aren't better than the Spurs or Lakers. It's time re rebuild gentlemen.

I love Nash. Second fav Sun ever. But lets get what we can for him while the getting is good. Get a nice first rounder for him. Acquire some young talent. Bring in a stud FA in the offseason, and build around him with all of our picks... and lets think about the future. It is that time.

Lose out this year. Let's get a high chance in that lottery.... I'm ready for this. I'll need a support network though! (haha)

Yes I agree 100%!!! This team will not improve as of now. We need 1st round picks!

It's not the picks that's killed us, it's whether we keep em or not. Luol, Rondo, etc

Dragic for example was a spectacular pick that late in the draft (I know we didn't make the pick but we wanted to), I still think RoLo was a good pick, I really do trust them with drafting.

Exactly. If Sarver wasn't a cheap jew really inappropriate check your PMs -Miklo, we'd have a few of Luol, Rondo, Fernandez and probably a few more. Clark should never have been traded, most of us thought that. Lopez needs time. Everyone needs to stop freaking out!

The level of talent on this team is mediocre outside of Nash and an aged Carter. We need a legit first option at the PF/C spot before we become anything. How we get that is what needs to be worked out.

We should try to secure another 1st rounder before the deadline. Maybe move up in the draft, grab two top 10 talents?

We've made poor draft choices for a long time now. Goran was a good pick, but we completely over spent to get him. We gave the Spurs Blair with our GS's second rounder, plus our second rounder that year and $500,000. I think Blair would have come in handy right about now. And as for people wanting us to get rid of everyone, there is never a good plan on how to do this. Keep in mind that there might be a lockout, and the draft might be even weaker know this. I don't see getting draft picks will be the answer with Sarver. And any good draft picks we could get will be hoping that Nash doesn't make that pick be a 20 something pick. We have some good players that we could move before we move Nash or Hill.

Except it doesn't... there's literally 10 threads your original post could have gone into... I fail to see why your recent enlightenment warrants its own thread...

I'm interested in whether if we can trade into the top 5. That certainly will change something, hopefully.
Perry Jones, Jared Sullinger....

There's a handful of posters here that feel obliged to make a new thread to discuss their specific thoughts. KLEON, Jmac, jwill, Suns32, Rocketswoman44, etc

You should see the ESPN board. They are at the point where posters are blaming the fans for the FO choices. And it is complete doom and gloom. At least there is more than a handful of rational fans here.

I need to bookmark that gif with the hand that moves the cursor from "New Thread" to "Post Reply". I never have it around when I need it...

Finally, you're on my way :) Yes, rebuild, look for another 1st rounder for Nash, Hill. Look for better chance in lottery. Free money for decent FA. That's it. Dudley, Dragić, Gortat will stay, bench warmers like Lopez, Frye, Warrick must be traded, the rest will come with new season and brand new Suns.
It's the one and only chance...

I was gonna say something like... "what is this, the ESPN board? Where each post is a new thread with zero replies, but all say the same thing?"

I haven't gone to the ESPN boards since I found this board... but it seems with the Suns' struggles, this board is becoming more and more the ESPN board.

If things don't pan out in the next 10 games I'd like to see the FO move Nash/Hill to Dallas. Right now Dallas is looking for a SF to replace the injured Caron Butler. They can ship us Butler who has an expiring contract, two young players (e.g., Beaubois or Barea, and one of their two young centers), and a one or two first round picks.

Umm what? Expiring contract, two young studs and first round picks? For two 38 year olds?
I know its Nash but cmon.. Thats terrible for Dallas. And they do have Jason Kid you know..

Well this is what my gmateam is after the draft, i admit the Dragic Fylnn trade was dumb i sort of based it off of 2k10 and didnt realize until now that Flynn has zero IQ,but Demetri McCamey is underrated. Oh yea i got Lucas Nogueira as well :p.
