So when do we start Dudley?

Vince is nothing but an expiring contract lets not kid ourselves and I think Jared has really earned the opportunity to start with his play.

The games that Dudley started, he was really impressive. If I had a choice, I would start him right now. But, the most realistic time when Duds gets the start is next season. I don't see Gentry starting him regularly this season unless Vince goes down with an injury.

NEVER!!!!!!!!!! If JD starts who the hell is our sixth man? I like him coming off the bench to inspire our team.

Carter is a better starter than JD anyway you cut it, JD brings needed energy off the bench.

yeah, I'm actually pretty high on Vince. I like Jrich more, just like I think all of us do, but I will say this: Vince has still got some pretty serious one on one ability. He can post up a bit too. This is also the first time I've watched him for more then 2 games a season, so his IQ is surprising me. He's actually a pretty smart guy.

Start Dudley over Carter? No, start Dudley over Hill. I been saying this for the longest!

Haha, didn't know who was going to win the race to the bottom on this one.

My money was on Los Soles.

IMO, our starting lineup could use with some of JD's energy. Some nights, our starting unit looks fast asleep.
I also like the hustle and great rebounding and defence JD brings to the starting unit.

Does anyone remember the game against Miami, where Dudley got the start? From my memory, he had about 7 rebounds in the first quarter, and finished up with there numbers.

41Mins
33 points
12 rebounds
3 steals

On the previous game against San Antonio, Dudley put up 27 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

Look, I'm not saying that Dudley will produce those numbers every might as a starter. But as the statistics show, it seems no one would benefit better from playing with Nash than Dudley.

But it's our starting unit that's been playing well, or at least well enough to give us leads. It's our 2nd unit that's been a problem with Dragic somewhat regressing. I like Dudley's energy off the bench.

The starting unit was playing well with Dudley too. Maybe having Carter as an addition to the second unit could freshen things up a bit? It's worth a shot.

Well I wouldn't mind starting Dudley over VC. I think when VC tries hard, he does well. Maybe a benching by Gentry does for VC, the same thing benching Amare did in the Dallas fourth quarter last year. Let VC earn his spot back. As I suggested before, I would also start Chilldress so Hill can run the second unit. Also start Warrick and Gortat. It balances out the O/D for both units and it gives Nash players that need a point like him, while it give Goran guys that can score without him. Plus I really like when Lopez and Goran play together.

For whatever reason Hill doesnt seem to produce well coming off the bench. Its not an ego thing everyone knows that Grant is the highest quality character guy anyone could ever want. I remember him coming off the bench maybe 3 or 4 times and he just couldnt get a rythm going for whatever reason and his output was very subpar. Maybe its an age thing he has to go from warming up to playing without cooling down on the bench; some guys tighten up if they sit too long.

I'd rather see him start at the 3 than the 2.

I'd rather see him there as well, because I'm in love with Dragic and Nash together in the backcourt. Them, Duds, a legit PF and one of RoLo or Gortat is a nice lineup. In the meantime Frye is fine at the 4 and helps with spacing, even if he's becoming a more rounded players offensively. Now that he's show he can drive to the hoop or for a pull-up, he's much more dangerous and they really have to sag off him on the 3 pt line, which is a nice thing.

Nash/Dragic/Duds/Frye/RoLo

but then, who's the bench?
