1st Post & Did VC really mock Goran about K-Mart?
What up fellow Suns fans?! Long time reader, first time poster. It’s funny because in a way I feel I know a lot of you already, from the Aussie road trip group to the regulars such as Kerrsed, & MaryvalesFinest to our former insiders Ihateginobili and Traxxe. Damn I miss those guys. I don’t care what anyone says, those two were legit (If you happen to be reading this Traxxe, please take us out of our misery and throw a dog a bone). And finally how can I not mention the Queen of the board, Boxxy. I’m totally with you on this Kerrsed. Oh and keep it up with the sweet sigs.
So now about me - Hmm, where do I start? Well let me start off by saying I HATE the Lakers even though I live in the LA area (Long Beach, a few miles away from Lakerland). How did I become a Suns fan you ask? To simply put it, it was thanks to James Worthy. It goes back to 1989, the time I first started paying attention to basketball. I don’t know what it was about Worthy but I just couldn’t stand the guy. Who knocked out the Lakers that year? That’s right KJ and the Suns. The rest as they say is history.
Well the reason I chose to finally post is because I was reading something on The Bright Side of the Sun and I came across this:

"Hey guys–love the site. I wanted to write you a little note to let you know a few things I saw tonight in Denver. I sat right behind the Suns bench in the first row. Here are a couple of observations (not rants)
1. Sitting courside I was amazed as to how Vince was not part of the team at all tonight. During tv timeouts he was talking to opposing players. While Nash and Gortat (more on him later) were trying to motivate the team, Carter was not a part of it. As Vince went in to do his pregame ritual with the chalk on the sidelines, Channing came along and ran his hands along the chalk breaking Vince’s routine. Carter stood there and glared at him and then shook his head and cursed at him. When Vince got “hurt” in the 3rd quarter he asked to get taken out and put on quite a show. Gentry did not even look at him or talk to him until he missed a couple shots and decided not to play defense–then he went out–no words there. The thing that upset me the most, and even my six year old noticed, was during the technical situation with Dragic, Vince came over to us and looked at the TV screen by the seat–he mocked Goran… not good. I wonder on a team that is suppose to be built on chemistry if there is a problem here. You cannot tell on TV, but when you essentially sit on the Suns bench as a fan you notice little things.
2. Gortat on the other hand was wonderful. Even down 30 he was cheering and encouraging the scrubs during game play and timeouts. He paid special attention all game to Pietrus. (As one would expect.) The poor guy was very upset he was not playing. Gortat may not have earned the right to be a leader yet, but I think he is well on his way.
There were several other things I noticed as well, but I will stop here. My and my family love the Suns and will continue to follow them no matter what. Tonight was fun (b/c of the great seats) even though the game was not. And also–the perspective one gets sitting right with them is more than one could ever get from watching them on TV and even reading the blogs (no offense of course.) I feel as though I now understand the “chemistry matters” mantra of last year."
I have been noticing Carter being Budy Budy with the other players and smiling having a good time. YOU LOST BY 34 POINTS! What are you smiling about?

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this? I sent Paul Coro a tweet, but he never responded. This would be the perfect time to come out of your cave Traxxe…Just giving you are hard time homie.
This has been one of the toughest seasons I can remember. There is zero continuity within the group and as much as I love 2time, there’s only so much he can do at this point in his career. Seeing Amare go off in New York is tough to watch, but I’m happy for him and I wish him the best. As much as I wanted him to stay, from a business standpoint, Sarver made the right choice. Maybe if he made the 4th year of the offer fully guaranteed and only the 5th year based on minutes played he’d still be here.
As much as I feel we miss Lou, he wouldn’t have been a difference maker. The way we see it, we need an Amare-lite for this system to work. They’re a few young guys with potential out there but I don’t know if we have the players to get them. Hopefully someone could be had for Orlando’s pick.
The answer is not Anthony Randolph. I just don’t get why so many on this board have a hard on for him. I’ve heard many excuses about his lack of production but I’m not buying it. The fool is what he is. I never understood the hard on for Earl Clark either. That fool is straight garbage to me.
I kinda like the idea of bringing in Kaman but I don’t think J. Chill and Warrick are enough. Kaman only has one more year left so from a financial stand point, it would be great. As far as Brand, if they’re gonna pay him that much money, they should have just re-signed Amare. I just don’t see it happening.
Let the discussion begin…
Oh and one last thing - Grant Hill is the sh*!t!!!

I don't think Carters heart is on this team. And why would it? It's blatantly obvious that the Suns are not going to re-sign him regardless if he dominates or not. He's basically here just to play some decent basketball and get paid in the off season from some random team that signs him. Couple that in with the huge loses he probably already gave up.. nothing we shouldn't have seen coming.
Plenty of people were saying that he was a proven loser. Still don't know why some people were saying he was remotely as valuable as Jason Richardson.

come on guys.now we are going to believe whatever someone "witness" as a spectator.if you think vince don't get along with him teammates watch him after the drive late in the game against blazers when he makes the and1.he falls and everyone of the team ran to him to help him.also watch during the game when someone falls vince rans to help him first.also he is very active in the bench he stand up in every crucial basket.here are the highlights from the last game.watch the reactions if you want. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFdJ53pO15o
why vince's heart isn't in the team?during the last 2 games he made crucial baskets in the clutch.also with cleveland he was clutch.he is averaging 18 pts in good percentages.i think he is playing efficiently and still this is only his 8th game i think as a sun and coming back from an injury.i know he isn't driving as much as you want but still he is still playing efficiently.
if you think he has gave up after the losses or his heart isn't in the team listen his interview after last game. http://www.nba.com/suns/news/recap_110114.html

Welcome to the board! You seem to know a lot more about the Suns than many of our newer members here!
It seems as if you don't like Anthony Randolph, but if he was up for grabs with, let's say, Orlando's 1st, would you pull the trigger, considering how much of a low-risk move it is? We basically are giving up a late 1st round pick, for a guy with potential?

Pre-trade and still with the Warriors? Most definitely!
Post-trade - w/Knicks? I’d have to think about it. When he played for the Warriors, I was aware of him being in Nellie’s dog house and I wondered what he would do in a system like ours. I became very intrigued after I saw him play against us and he had a pretty good game. Not sure if you remember the game but it was one of the first games after Porter got canned. I vaguely remember him breaking someone off pretty bad.
When he was traded for Lee, I was certain Coach D would get the most out of him but if I’m not mistaken, he’s in his dog house too. Really? Why is our system going to fit him better than New York’s? It’s basically the same system. That’s when I started thinking he may be more of the problem than the coaches he’s played for.
You’re right, we’d be giving up a late 1st rounder so it’s a low risk, but if I remember correctly wasn’t David Lee the last pick in the 1st round? I think I’d rather take a chance at finding another Lee over Randolph alone. Barbosa was 28th, and Wesley Person and Michael Finley were in the 20’s too. I think I’d take any of those guys fresh out of college over what Randolph is now.

Re: 1st Post & Did VC really mock Goran about K-Mart?
In my opinion, I think the situation surrounding Randolph in New York is not because he's a bad player, but because they are already stacked at those positions.
Lets look at their Forward depth chart.
PF: Stoudemire, Chandler, Turiaf
SF: Gallinari, Chandler, Bill Walker, Shawne Williams
There's no space for Randolph unless it comes at the expense of Chandler, Gallo, Amare or Walker's minutes. I think Mike just benched Randolph because it's one less player he has to think about including in the plays and the rotation. Plus, Randolph doesnt have as good a jumpshot as any of those players. That factor probably contributes to Randolph's benching as well.

I'm no Randolph fan but I'd be willing to trade the Orl pick no problem. It's pretty low risk/high reward since he's as good or better than most players available late in round 1 and his potential is much higher. I just don't think he'll ever reach his potential or be consistent.

FWIW D'Antoni has never liked unproven or not read to contribute youngsters. He was never into developing young players. I could see how he could be in D'Antoni's doghouse.

Carter being a prick is not unheard of. I'm honestly not surprised at all. Dude doesn't play hard doesn't try at all. There is no way in hell our team's gonna re-sign him.
And we call him Wince for a reason.

Welcome to the board, it is a great board with intelligent posters that care about this team. It is amazing what some of the guys have done to show their love for this team. I disagree about the Lou comment. After watching Diogu play tonight, I would have resigned Lou, and signed Ike on the cheap. I would have never signed Warrick. The Hedo trade was fine, but we should have brought him off the bench from the beginning and had him run that squad. I might have started Ike, and see what we could get out of him. He would be coming back to PHX ( played at Arizona State) and when he got good mins at the end of the year with SAC, he did quite well. Oh well, there is still a bunch of games left in this season for the guys to step things up.

Unless there is proof to that initial "report", than it's all lies.
Why are you bringing up something that supposedly happened 4 or 5 games ago anyways? They're won 2 straight and 3 of 4. Isn't that more important now?

Really? Give some specific examples of where he was a prick in the past. And give links or other proof so that we know you're not lying. I think you're lying.
Dude doesn't play hard doesn't try at all.
Again, give some proof so we know you're not a liar. And by proof I don't mean a six year old interview where he said he didn't always push himself 100% in his first couple years. I mean proof that he hasn't "tried at all". Again, I'm almost positive that you are lying. But you're welcome to prove me wrong.
And we call him Wince for a reason.
Yes, you call him "Wince" because you're so much tougher and better on the court than he is.

What do you consider proof ? You approach this like a Law and Order episode. The 'report' was a recount of an event. A fan who shared his observation. And I suppose, if pushed he could produce his ticket stub, or perhaps we could match his driver's license photo up with a 'close up clip' from the game. Sure, it is here say, and Sam would object and be sustained. But this is a sports site. Where 80% of the discussion is a would-should-could second hand commentary.
You do not have to believe the story, just as you do not have to believe any personal accounts and experiences ANYONE may share with you. To claim it is a lie because there is no proof suitable for you is equal to saying... 'Prove it did not happen' . Things here (and everywhere) are not always black and white. Quit trying to suck the color out of everything to fit your palate. Sometimes a little faith in the unknown is needed. Besides, if that observation had a very positive view of Carter, you would be patting him on the back because it is what you want to hear.., Assumption? I know... but it is what I choose to believe right now.
Here is one for you...I happen to know a friend who has personal ties to some of Vince's family members in NC... they have shared his unhappiness , or rather , very temporary attitude about playing in PHNX. They knew I was a Suns fan and purposely had the conversation with them.
So go Ripley on that and 'Believe it or not'
For what it is worth, I see very little reason to 'wince' about Vince. He just wont be here that long to be a problem. He will not say anything public, because he too knows this. The only thing he can hope for is a trade, and no matter where he goes, he still will be looking for a job next season. Enjoy him while you can.
Now here, take this Grain of Salt and call me in the morning.
What ? Me Worry ?

these Vince fans are extremely touchy. Do you really care that much if he gets criticized? You all act like he is your 5 year old son. Relax.

OK You win. You're too hardcore.
Oh and I call him wince because I have seen players tried harder when they're getting paid less. Some guy who goes by the name of Jared.
I don't expect everyone to be an energy guy, but Vince, try harder man. And no, I won't say I'll be tougher than he is on court. But then, that's why I'm not going to play in the NBA - because I can't even play tougher than Vince.
